I had this problem. I was mad. What I do now is not a "fix", it is a workaround. I hold the machine facing me, like I am watching it. I then twist it torsionally, top left corner away, bottom right corner toward me.
It's like there is a crack in the circuit board or something. That works.

The problem might be the battery. Please charge it full. If the battery is fully charged and still it won`t boot up, try this methods.
1. Remove battery, wait for a few seconds, 2. Reinsert battery. 3. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWNbutton, 4. Then press and hold the POWERbutton 5. Then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons 6. Press VOLUME DOWN to selectFACTORY RESET, and then press thePOWER button
Or this,
You can also use master reset. Hold down power button together with volume up or down button until you will see a screen in blue color with the logo>navigate and select wipe data/factory reset using your volume keys. Wait until your phone is completely rebooted.Â
Detached the SIM card to avoid contact deletion., likewise the SD card for file.
Usually a reset does the trick. With the Kindle turned off, hold down the power button for 15 seconds. This will reboot the unit and should reset the settings which sometimes go out of sync like a PC does at times when the drivers don't start.
unplug, take out battery then hold power button for 30 seconds then plug back in and turn on if the3 laptap gos on without the battery you need a new battery
Did you do the Setup when you first started it? by holding the red button and following prompts? (to set up Language, date etc.) - if not try that. if yes, have you tried recharging it? Mine takes about 7 or 8 hours to fully charge (the red light will come on then when fully charged that light goes out) - it appears you have Ultra HD like me, so you should also be able to try some regular AA batteries in place of your rechargeable just to try that. If it works then, it is your rechargeable battery pack - either no good or needs charge. also when plugged into USB that red light should come on on front of the camera and if you look at the screen it should show a battery icon with a lightning bolt over it, shows the battery -how much charged. after 6 or so hours, press your red button and look at the screen - it now should be showing a battery icon that should by now be mostly Green and almost fully charged. While charging the unit, Flipshare software comes up on your computer, "X" out of that software, so your camera will charge faster. My camera was doing similar things but I've had it a long time, and regular batteries worked, So I ordered a new battery pack and it has been fine since. Good Luck!!!

I had this same problem! Scoured the web and found no solution. This is what I did to fix it...
Remove battery. Unplug charger. Press and hold the power button for 20 - 30 seconds. While still holding the power button, re-insert the battery and/or plug in the charger. Voila! Came back to life and worked like nothing ever happened.
I also did the same thing with the record button, but it was the power button that got the result.
Have you attempted taking the battery out and while the battery is out holding down the power button for a few seconds? If this doesn't work, First test your charger to ensure proper charging. Clean charging ports. Remove battery and clean brass contacts with alcohol and q-tip
