I moved three weeks ago. (Professional Movers). My Toshiba was working great until before the move. One other thing was when we first hooked it up at the new home the color was off. I thought this might have been from the difference of switching from Direct Tv to Comcast cable. But it would change after it was set. Then "WHAM" no picture.
I had video and then the signal went out and the red power light started flashing on & off. Could not turn the unit off with remote of power switch. Unplugged and left it unplugged for about 15 min. Same problem when I plugged it back in.
Could the move 350 mile have caused this?
Also what kind of cost would I be looking at. This set is 4 yrs old.
Guess I hit on the one product and problem no one knows anything about!... Just my luck....Guess I hit on the one product and problem no one knows anything about!...
Just my luck....

Our 43HX71 Toshiba TV suddenly stopped working 4 days ago, there is no picture, but the on switch blinks continuously, the only way to stop it from blinking is to unplug the power cord. This TV is about 7 years old. Thanks in advance for any help. The more notice you give any moving company the better. Also keep in mind that there are certain season when moving companies are busier than others. Usually end of May beginning of June, August and September are busiest. Best of luck!
point it at your digital camera/webcam
although the human eye cannot see infared, your camera lense can
watch the monitor to check if its flashing.
also - if you have moved the set, perhaps something inside - such as a wire loom - has fallen in front of the infa red reciever? or it may just need the window cleaning
Your Television is going into protection shutdown. More than likely the problem will be sweep related IE Convergance is the most likely culprit your best bet is to have a technician look at it
