Question about Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD Recorder
I have a panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-e55 which seems to work ok for about 15mins. It then just completely shuts down and will not allow me to turn it back on unless i completely unplug at the mains. Could there be something overheating somewhere? Thanks for any help
When replaceing the STRG always use Heatsink Paste shown at www.signalsuk.com code HSC1G

Heavy baby suggests replacing the voltage reg. Where is the item physically located and what's it's circuit ref? I ask because I have two such units and when one developed the fault, I substituted what I assume to be the entire PSU board from the other unit with no effect on the problem.

You need to replace the Voltage Regulator. Part No STGR 6353. There are several paces to obtain one on the internet. signalsuk.com can supply it for around £12.
