Pop off the speaker grill and remove the three screws securing the panel
to the door frame. You do not have to remove the screws holding the
speaker to the panel. Remove the window crank. There is a "U" shaped
retaining spring holding the handle to the spindle. It can be removed
with a special tool or just by pressing in on the panel and loosening
the clip with a small flat blade screwdriver. Remove the screws in the
arm rest and above the interior door handle lever.
Pull the panel from the door - be careful of the speaker wires -
carefully undo the quick connect.
From the top corner, pull down on the plastic sheet.
Remove the square white plastic box that is used as a guide for the
control bars.
Locate the exterior handle mechanism. There are 2 10mm bolts that hold
the handle to the door frame. Remove them with a ratchet and extension.
Pop the retaining clip (it's green for the left door) free from the lock
cylinder control rod, then pull the rod from the back of the lock
cylinder.
Covering the back of the lock cylinder is a metal plate. Holding the
plate to the cylinder is another "U" shaped spring clip that can be
pulled down with a flat blade screwdriver.
After removing this clip, the metal plate will seperate from the
cylinder. The culinder can then be pulled free from the inside and the
handle from the outside.
Reverse the procedure to reinstall.
