My RV40 dvd player rejects all CD's & DVD's, display NO DISC message. This has started happening very recently, the dvd player has had very limited use.
The only media recognised is the cleaning disc, which is played thru till the end.
I have cleaned the lens many times with the cleaning disc.

I have just recently posted a cure for this - but here we go again.
Fault H07 is the fault code for the spindle/disc motor and to cure it
With the lid of the player removed, locate the spindle and where
the motor shaft goes into the motor itself, use a little light oil or
WD40. Don't drench the area or you'll really have fun cleaning it up!
Let it soak in a while and try it again - you should now find it
I am now finding quite a few owners of Panasonic DVD players are starting to get this message on the display. The same happened to me!
I have the same problem. When I insert a disk, my NAD T 550 DVD player displays 'No Disc'. It started with new disks while still reading older disks, but at some time it stopped recognizing any disk. Did you receive any suggestion yet or has anyone a suggestion?
well, seems like your laser diode is getting old. you need to change the diode. what you are experiencing is the start of a dying diod. it will start to rejects cd and soon enough it will not spind at all on all the cd's. so change the emitting diode. good luck
