Question about Sceptre X37sv-Naga 37 in. LCD Television
I just received a new Sceptre 37" 720p LCD TV and after taking it out of the box and connecting the power cord, the indicator light turns a solid blue but the screen does not turn on. I tried changing the power cord, plugging in av and component cables, but nothing works. Unplugging it for a minute, replugging it, and waiting for 30 seconds to turn on like the Sceptre tech said does not work. The blue indicator light does not turn red to go into standby. Pressing every button on the tv and remote produces no results. What is the problem?
I just got a 42" komodo by Sceptre, same problem, except "SCEPTRE" showed on the screen. I was sent a USB key program to insert in the service slot in the back and it reflashes the bios. This is old news for you but maybe new for someone?

Normally the a-v cables are color coded the white goes with white the red goes with red and yellow goes with the yellow and when putting it in the dvd player if applicable it should be the same way did your tv come with a manual showing you how to hook it up

Everything was working fine until I plugged an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back. The blue light came on, the picture does not display, and nothing changes no matter which buttons I press. I am only able to get rid of the blue light if I unplug the Sceptre. Once I plug it back in, the blue light comes back. I wonder if there is a reset process I can use?
same problem
It will not turn on, even after I unplug it. After I replug box and turn it on, it sparks.
19"flat panel LCD TV with built-in DVD player (FPE1907DV) -tv has power (red light is on) but won't turn it on when "standby/on" button is pressed on remote. Cable connection good - Batteries new.
why cant turn the stand by light off it is red or green on or off the light is on
turns on with blue light indicator Scepter name comes on across the screen White box comes on and that is all
It will show the red "standby" light at the bottom left, but no blue "on" light, nor any picture whatsoeverwhen pressing the standby button on both the remote and the actual television panel. I have tried turning it completely off at the base, unplugging from the wall socket, waiting five minutes, then re-plugging into the wall and switching on at the base. Red "standby" light comes on to indicate power to the set, but standby button on the remote and on the tv panel itself have no effect. Help please.
it worked a couple of times, by unplugging and replugging,
