How can i turn off demo mode on Kenwood KDC-MP242?

Hook up the power source to the battery, wire in some speakers.

I found a website that will help you out. Use the follwoing link and go to page 16. Hope this helps you.

To turn off the Demo mode you need to:

Press source button, then select stand by mode.

Using the FM/AM button select Demo display

To set the demo mode hold the source button for 2 seconds
it will switch from on and off.

get in to "menu" (hold magnifying glass), scroll to "demo mode" (am or fm button), push volume knob in and hold for about three seconds. Should work, that's how I did it.

press & Scroll menu til !demo" appears in screen, then turn to off

Cancelling the DEMO MODE is explained on page 29... as follows....

Select the Demonstration mode
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].
Select the "DEMO" display.


Set the Demonstration mode
Press the Control knob for at least 2 seconds.
Each time the knob is pressed at least 2 seconds,
the Demonstration mode switches "on" or "off"

you have to be in standby mode, thats the key, i had the same problem, just go to "demo on" and change it to "demo off"

Page 29 tells you how to turn off Demonstration mode. Blue toothe operation is well detailed also. Good luck. Any problems, I have downloaded the manual to help you. :)
