Toshiba 27A51 I have a Toshiba 27A51. My daughter was playing with the remote and now we have sound but no picture. I can get to the menu section but can't seem to figure out what must be done. Please help. thanks TamSue

Go into menu and with original remote call up convergence--either it has a problem(will not adjust) or you may with the remote be able to manually adjust the convergence back: sometimes if a power outage/surge it scrambles the convergence memory.

Try to look at your remote control. The one, what came with TV set, not the cable or dish one. You should find something like: audio(sound) or video preset(picture) buttons. those are assigned for easy access to change those features. by pressing "picture" your settings will change to: vivid, movie, etc. Similar with 'sound". You may find what you want, by playing with those "presets". also: you may go to TV's menu and adjust picture the way you want it in a "custom" mode, the one of presets. You must use OEM remote control to do so.

Have you changed the connections recently? If so, maybe something got plugged back in differently.

Otherwise check the AVR-2807's System Setup. There is a menu to associate different video inputs to each of the audio inputs. Probably the input with sound doesn't have the right video input associated with it, though I'm not sure you can associate a video input with the CD input... which tells me maybe the connections got changed?

Needs the vcr heads cleaned, and get a universal remote with a menu button to change the tuner setup.

your problem is in flyback or high voltage section failure.

• check horizontal output transistor
• check fly back transformer.
• check for supply to horizontal section as high voltage from power supply may create such problem
• as this failure is due high voltage section so it is better to take skilled technician help.
• good luck.

It is a pincushion problem. There is a bad cap and or a bad diode in the horzontal section.

reduce raster no picture no sound and the power stays on.
