I was writting a document on MS word last night. I was saving my file directly to the Cruzer Flash Drive, saving every 3 minutes or so (good habit, I thought).
The last time I saved, I got an error message that said it was closing the program and document. When I went to open the document in my Cruser flash drive, it wasn't there! Nowhere to be found.
Please help, so I don't lose my whole weekend.
Thanks,
There are many good tools for resolving out like issues but only some program are able to help here. One of them proved me its features. It would be useful here - repair corrupted word document.
If the above dont work .. just enable hiden files view .. enble system files also in "tools" "folderoptions"
Then have a detailed search for you document in the entire hardisk .. hope this will help you ...
Autosave file is seldom saved to the data drive

goto

and get the location for 'autorecover files'
open explorer and the last saved file should(fingersXed) be in that folder
MS Word is a text processor used to add or edit data in documents. A MS Word document is saved in .doc and .docx file formats. One can add different data such as tables, paragraphs, hyperlinks, images, wallpapers, indexes and others in a doc/docx file. Word documents can be damaged due to multiple factors such as virus and spyware codes. Therefore, you should use RecoveryFix for Word to recover lost data from corrupt doc/docx file. This software fully supports MS Word 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010 versions.

I had the same problem. Thanks for the tip to show the hidden files--I did and a version of my file was there. I wasn't able to recover the entire document, but I was able to salvage most of it. THANK YOU!!!
