Lost word.doc while saving direct to Cruzer

I was writting a document on MS word last night. I was saving my file directly to the Cruzer Flash Drive, saving every 3 minutes or so (good habit, I thought).

The last time I saved, I got an error message that said it was closing the program and document. When I went to open the document in my Cruser flash drive, it wasn't there! Nowhere to be found.

Please help, so I don't lose my whole weekend.

Thanks,

I had the same problem. Thanks for the tip to show the hidden files--I did and a version of my file was there. I wasn't able to recover the entire document, but I was able to salvage most of it. THANK YOU!!!

There are many good tools for resolving out like issues but only some program are able to help here. One of them proved me its features. It would be useful here - repair corrupted word document.

Microsoft office word 2003

MS Word is a text processor used to add or edit data in documents. A MS Word document is saved in .doc and .docx file formats. One can add different data such as tables, paragraphs, hyperlinks, images, wallpapers, indexes and others in a doc/docx file. Word documents can be damaged due to multiple factors such as virus and spyware codes. Therefore, you should use RecoveryFix for Word to recover lost data from corrupt doc/docx file. This software fully supports MS Word 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010 versions.

I need a 25-character product key for microsoft office home and student 2007 to load in my laptop please?

If your are not very particular in using MS office there is a very easy answer. Forget this MS office thing. Download openoffice.org. Click the link below
http://www.openoffice.org
It is absoultely free. And works way better than MS office in my opinion. You don't need to search around for a product key. However, it saves a doucment in .odt format instead of your regular .doc format. But there is no need for worry. If you need to send a file to anyone who can only read a .doc file open office provides you the option to save it in .doc format. Which solves the problem if any. Try it once an you may never think of MS office ever. Open office also gives you the option of saving a document directly into PDF format. So any one who recieves it cannot edit it, if you want uneditable documents to be sent to somebody. With MS office you need to buy a new software to achieve this. More money wasted. Like wise XL/ presentations/database type documents are saved in the open document formats, but open office gives you the option to save all of these in the MS office default formats. It has much better selection of fonts and clipart/galleries too.Good luck and have fun.

I cannot move a Microsoft Word file to a SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer, getting the message that "Directory or File cannot be created"...Why? What's the solution?

There is a problem with these where putting files directly on the root folder of the drive only allows X amount of files. Open the Cruzer from My Computer and create a new folder. Try dropping the Word file into that new folder and all should be well.

Hope this helps. Look forward to hearing back from you soon!

I lost the directions for using a micro mini

Find a USB-port on your computer.
Insert the flash-drive into the USB port.
Windows will report "found new hardware", and will assign a "drive-letter" (e.g., 'A:' is your diskette drive, 'C:' is your disk-drive, 'D:' is your CD-ROM device) to the device.

Then, use "Windows Explorer" to drag-and-drop files onto the new drive-letter (probably 'E:').

I want to do my assignment on word.i want to save this to my u.s.b ,im not great on computers and dont no how to save or if have to do anything so my computer regodnises the flash in the first place pleze...

Check
1. Word document .doc extension (Word 97-2003-document); this way
you can access the document even on older computers.
2. Connect the Cruzer always directly to the computer for transfers.
3. USB flash drive enough free memory (e.g. pics require a lot of memory)
4. USB flash drive has memory format FAT or FAT32
5. Have a backup on your computer on a seperate partition of the hard drive on your computer; another partition than the place where "My documents" are located. (in case you should have to restore the Operating System)

See next items how to locate your flash drive on the computer.:

Windows requirements:

When there's a drive letter conflict it can happen that the flash drive is not recognized, see:
33f62be.jpg
Once you can locate the drive and know if there's plenty of memory
free you can drag and drop your document from the computer to
the flash drive: the document on the computer will stay as well.

You can also right click on the document and next select copy.
Then select (left click) your flash drive, next right click and select paste in the field of the flash drive or any map on the flash drive.

How to use flash drive

Cruzer Micro is an USB external memory where you can store files.
It is automatically detected and installed on all Windows OS from Windows 2000 onward, same on Mac OS and recent Linux versions.
All you have to do is plugging the device into USB.
After the flash drive had been automatically installed , it will be displayed under Computer as an external disk.
You can copy and transfer files using Cut, Copy and Paste functions, or Send to function in windows, or the file manager, depending on the OS used.
In Windows, before unplugging the memory from USB , it is better to turn off the computer or use the 'safely remove USB' function located near to the clock, on the lower right hand corner.
