SOURCE: keyboard/mouse not working

You need to restore to a previous date before you installed the wireless mouse / keyboard.

If that dont work then your only solution is to format and reinstall since it might be you could have damaged a few vxd files window's needs to use those devices

(THIS IS ASSUMING THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD WERE CONNECTED PROPPERLY) AND THEN THE SYSTEM WAS TURNED ON

if that wasnt done

shut down compuer

2.) plug mouse into green ps2 port and keyboard into the blue one

3.) turn on computer

SOURCE: re: wireless mouse doesn't work

Sounds like a bad ps2 port. Maybe your motherboard is going bad. I'd say its time to upgrade your computer.

SOURCE: Wireless mouse and keyboard not working

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.

SOURCE: Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

The wireless keyboard and mouse are not working.

  • Check to ensure that the wireless receiver is plugged into your computer. Press the "Connect" button on the bottom of the receiver to attempt reconnecting your mouse and keyboard to the computer. If your mouse and keyboard use Bluetooth, ensure that your computer's Bluetooth is active and detects the mouse and keyboard.
  • Check to see if the keyboard and mouse are turned on. If the power indicator lights on the keyboard and mouse are not green, press the "Power" button to turn the keyboard and mouse on.
  • Check the batteries of the mouse and keyboard. If the batteries are dead, replace them with fresh batteries and reconnect the mouse and keyboard to the computer by pressing the "Connect" button on the bottom of the wireless receiver attached to the computer. If your mouse and keyboard use rechargeable batteries, let the batteries recharge before using the device again.
  • Uninstall and reinstall your wireless keyboard and mouse drivers. Sometimes, the Logitech drivers are at fault for a bad connection. Use the Control Panel to uninstall the old drivers, then visit the Logitech website and install the latest drivers for your keyboard and mouse.
  • Search the Logitech Support Database. If your keyboard and mouse are still failing to function properly, visit the Logitech Support website and browse the support page for your product for specific solutions.

I have a wireless mouse for my laptop and I unplugged it and now it's not working. What should I do? The mouse isn't recognizing on the computer, at least as far as I can tell it's not.

Try replacing the batteries for Mouse, and use different USB port for Wireless connector.

If it still does not helps then simply uninstall and reinstall the drivers of your wireless mouse. After that reboot your computer.

Thanks
Jimmy

I have just bought a netbook and had to reformat it already, and now my Belkin mini wireless moouse will not work. Device managers says my driver is updated and working properly, but I can't get it to work...

Check your batteries in the wireless mouse?
You likely have to sync the mouse to the reciever... usually done by pressing a button on the mouse or keyboard for 6 seconds or so.
If all else fails...
Download the latest drivers from the mfg website.
Uninstall - Reinstall and reboot.
