SOURCE: Unusable Signal

Hello Mike:

The issue that you are having is with your small signal board and it needs to be replaced, it sounds like the microprocessor on that board is getting locked up.

make sure that you have it set to the right input signal source and that your source is working properly. if so then yeah, you need to replace the fuzle modulator.

SOURCE: 42 inch rca lcd tv says unusable signal

This is a very common problem with these models.
The problem is very likely a fuse that has blown, if the following is true:
No Video on any input BUT HDMI and
No Audio at all.
Purchase a fuse, these are freaking tiny from digitalkey.com or mouser.com F1455ct-nd
Pull the back off of your unit
Pull the cover off of the PCB housing. It is the box that contains the hook ups including the cable tuner.
The silver box that you screw the cable to is where you begin to look for this fuse.
About two inches behind this silver box is some numbers printed on the board 7c32 and partially obscured will be 1c33
Using a big magnifier look next to the numbers listed above, you should see a tiny rectangle fuse with an F on it.
This F fuse is a 500ma fuse that is too small for the load
The fuse listed above will have a G on it. It is a 750ma fuse.
Call the repair shops in your area, tell them that you know the problem, have the part and you want to know how much the bench time and labor will be to repair your unit.

Rca unusable signal

Your TV could be on the wrong input source. if your using red/white/yellow cables look for an inpout button or source or even TV/Video. your tV has many inputs on it and you can only acess them 1 at a time, this allows you to toggle through the input sources and when you get to the right on you'll have picture and sound

Rca model j27435 trying to use dvd player says unusable signal

Most DVD players and maybe the Wi are connected via rear audio and video input jacks so that may be your issue.

I have a LG47" tv

Your DVD audio is sent directly to your receiver - not to you TV. That's why you can hear the audio on your stereo. The TV audio is not being sent anywhere - it is "stuck" in the TV and is amplified and sent to the TV speakers. Since the TV speakers are off, you don't hear anything. In order to listen to the TV audio on the stereo system's speakers, you need to send it to the receiver.

You need to have a pair (left + right signals) of audio cables (assuming you wish to listen to stereo sound) from the TV's Audio Output jacks to a pair of Audio Input jacks on the receiver / amplifier. You can use any unused input - CD, Video, Tape, Sat, etc. If you use Tape or Sat audio inputs, when you wish to listen to the TV audio, you must select the Tape or Sat input on the receiver.

Do not send more than one signal to a set of inputs on the receiver. Typically, a CD, DVD and Sat inputs offer two or more of the following types 1) Analog audio. These are the older RCA jacks that have been around since the beginning and require separate cables for left and right channels. 2) Optical inputs. This is the newer digital interface that provides for Dolby Digital (and others) format sound over a single fiber optic cable. 3) Coaxial inputs. This jacks looks like an RCA jack, but usually has an Orange ring - instead of the Red & White rings that analog RCA jacks have. They use a single coaxial cable. 4) HDMI input. This jacks carries both digital video and digital audio signals. If you are using an Optical input for the DVD on the receiver, do not use any other unused analog or digital inputs associated with the DVD to "piggyback" another device like a CD , VHS tape, etc.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.

61" RCA Projection TV, no picture, "unusable signal" message

Read the suggestion of unplugging the TV for at least 4 hours to re-set to factory specs and that took care of it!

Unusable Signal

You may have IB001 going bad, it is RCA P/N 263568, and should have TDA6107q labeled on the IC which should consist of 9 pins soldered into the PC Board and attached to an aluminum heat sink. It is a video IC and could be going bad unless you have a defective solder connection somewhere causing this symptom.

"weak signal" on my RCA scenium

Hey! I have the same problem as you. But! this would happen only when I got a power outage. Unplug the TV for a couple of minutesand all was fine. For the last 5 day I have no TV. I have tried everything. All the out on the TV and I still get unusable signal. My rep told me to unplug for 24 Hours. Still didn't work. My menu option work as well and every time I put the TV on, off or if I change the input sound will come on for 2 seconde and stop. If I find the salution I will let you know. Gilles Ottawa
