SOURCE: transferring images from Olympus Master Folder

You have to buy the upgrade to Olympus Master 2, to be able to burn images to a disc.  Olympus Master doesn't allow you to.  I get around it by manually saving my images in an additional folder on my computer and then burn them to disc from there.  It's a slow process and very inconvient.  Good luck.

SOURCE: I have olympus digital camera

When the camera is connected to the computer does the camera LCD screen show a USB menu on it with the option of PC highlit? If so, then you need to press Ok on the camera to get the camera and the computer to start communicating. Once communication established the camera screen should go black and your computer should indicate that a removable disk drive has been created. If the disk drive does not get created that could be the problem. You may want to call Olympus technical support for further troubleshooting help/ Their telephone number is 888-553-4448 option 5 and then option 1.

Date & Time Stamp on PC

By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

Clean or format card error on Olympus XD card

There are most likely some "corrupted" images on your xD card. Very often a card reader "writes" data to the card while transferring or copying images into the computer. When you re-insert the card back into the camera, it doesn't recognize the new data (because it didn't create it), and gives the error, usually requiring a complete formatting be performed. There are also problems if you use a reader to rotate images, then re-install the card in the camera. The best way to accomplish what you were doing is to transfer the images into a folder on your computer, as the camera shot them (don't rotate them first). That way, you haven't altered any data on the card. For now, however, I suggest you format the card in the camera, so you can start with a "clean slate". Good luck.

Tranferring images

Best thing here is to invest in a usb card reader. I suspect there may be a firmware problem. Check that you are doing right though before you do anything else.
