Question about Sony WEGA KDE-61XBR950 61 in. Plasma HDTV
I have a Sony 61" Plasma TV. It is a huge set and has been mounted on to the wall in the lounge. It recently refused to be switched on. All it does is flash a little red light on the front panel. It flashes 6 times and then stops for 3 seconds before flashing again. I have searched the web high and low and simply cannot find a solution. My concern is sending the set away for repairs. It is so big and unwieldly that it is bound to get damaged or scratched. I want to know if there are teams of repair people that do mobile plasma repairs in South Africa? I have also looked for the Sony KE-MR 61 model on the web and it seems to be a Chinese model not freely available else where in the world.
Ke series makes that an early plasma TV
that old will probably be throw away or requires the replacement of the whole printed circuit of the TV
or power source
if chinese built that circuity may no longer be available
any local mobile TV repairer can check that TV out for you
check out the internet for sony corporation south africa
for parts availability

You might have a bad B board. What's worse is that the power switch is connected to the Q board which works in conjunction with the B board. Replace B board, You can send your B board for repair to a company called modus link pts. They are the largest part supplier of after market parts and repair.
