I am having a bit of a problem with my MP3 player. I just purchased it from Walmart, got it home and was able to download almost 50 songs, but then when I unhooked it all the songs were gone. Now when I try to redownload my Windows media that I used will n longer recognize that it is plugged in, even though the player says it is connected. I installed the Musicmatch jukebox but it will not recognize the plater as well. I took the battery out to reset it like the troubleshooting in the manual suggested but that did not work as well. Please help me if you can, really want to use my player!!!

Never had that happen with my ematic mp3 player only had it about 6 months. Mine is the ematic 2GB Music/photo/video/voice mp3 player I purchased through walmart.com for $25 +TAX, no shipping since I did site-store which is what I do for all walmart.com purchases since packages i order seem to get lost after having left post office and being delivered to my house
I would also write your question on walmart.com under the exact item you have and maybe someone might have an answer there for it.
I know if you go under the item you have like electronic items, etc. at walmart.com they have an a question and answer area for the items just like this website. maybe give that a try.
Generally its difficult to recover songs from a Flash Drive (or ipod/mp3 player). There is file recovery software available, and generally this will cost. So unless the songs were a bit rare and unique i would recommend that you see if you cant find the songs you lost on the INTERNET. If you already owned the songs, by downloading them you are NOT breaking copyright law. Only the person sharing the file is.
A good place to download songs is from Jamglue.com - (you have to create an account on there to download)
Walmart and many other sites sells songs that are DRM encrypted, meaning they are copy protected. Your MP3 player will not play these unless it is DRM 9 / 10 compatable. The purchase license permits you to download and play in the first device, when copied to another device the DRM prohibits playback in the second device.
