Casio Exilim EX-Z750

Like 'Konig' on Aug 01 posting, I have an EX-750 that will not retract the lens. Turned the camera on, lens came out, no LCD light up, and the lens will not retract. Camera beeps, green light flickers, and nothing else happens. Camera definitely has not been abused and has given excellent service since purchase Nov 05. Konig, if you read this I would appreciate knowing if you have had a fix. Will be contacting CASIO tomorrow. Bob

I forced the lens back and the camera went on again, but the problem repeated afterwards. I think now it's just another paperweight.

I was reading this and i got pissed because i saw there was no way to fix it so i figured why not try to force it then. I dont know if this will work for you but i hope to God it does but as i held in the power button i hit the bottom of the camera(not too hard but not to soft) onto my pal a couple times and the lens came back in and worked perfect. if you have any questions you can contact me at [email protected] and i will try to help you.

Hey Dockwise, i actually went to radioshack and they sent it in for me to their repair center and after what was supposed to be 4weeks but turned into 8 they sent it to Casios repairshop and Casio estimated the cost of the fix at 420$ and they said its uneconomical to fix it. I think i am just going to go to WalMart and try to return it as if i bought it there beacuse i see no other solution then just throwing away a perfectly good camera beacuse of a glitch

Casio Z750 says, "Lens Error" on start up, and then shuts down?

A lens error has to be sent into repairs or else you need to buy a new camera. Repairs is 800-706-2534 and then choose extension for repairs.

Lens comes out, retracts right away, no noises

First make sure your camera's battery is fully charged next take a can of compressed air and blow air around the lens to try and clear any debree that might be in the way. hope this helps
