My one year old oven clock is working fine but neither the burners nor the stove heat up at all. Since the clock is on, I know it is getting power so it is not a fuse. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot would be much appreciated.

Sheila, this is a electric oven. It's possible that your missing one leg of power. On the back where the cord attaches (terminal block) you should have 240V across the two outside terminals and 120V from each end terminal to the center terminal. You will have to see if you have that voltage. The clock will operate itself on 120V but the elements need the 240V. Also check your breaker box and reset the breaker. Check this out first...Catriver..post back.

Guess you mean a kitchen appliance not a cd/dvd burner! The only way to help you giving some advice about how to fix ut is if you tell us the problem you need to fix.
Describe your burner: is it a gas burner or an electric burner?
Had you repaired something similar before?
In any case, watch some youtube tutoriasl to repair a burner
Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. If it is the controller, we repair them at www.fixyourboard.com.
Is there any sign of life? Does the oven light come on or does the clock work? Just for kicks, go and reset the breaker - it should be a double breaker for a 220V appliance - sometimes half will throw and still leave 110v that will run the light / clock.
The most common reason a gas oven won't heat is a bad igniter. It is located near the valve and burner under the oven bottom. You can usually see it glow orange just before the fire lights. Most GE ranges take a cylindrical igniter part #WB2X9154 or #WB13K21 rectangular igniter.
My oven glowbar stopped working christmas morning. Yesterday we bought a whirlpool brand (igntr-oven #4342528) because it is twenty something dollars cheaper then GE. My husband installed it today. The only difference is you have to splice the wires (it comes with everthing you need) The first time he put it in it did not work because he had the wires backwards. He switched the wires and now its working fine.
My oven is two years old also.
