No Picture My picture went dark as I was watching it. Now when I turn it on I hear a sqeeking noise coming out of the back. Right before this all happened the convergence was out of wack and I adjusted that, but it was'nt perfect. Any ideas?

The convergence IC's could be loading down the SMPS. Or it could have shorted a componet in the supply. if your not trained in solid state electronics, please seek out a repair shop to assist you with this repair. Good Luck

Sounds like you have a backlight problem. To verify this, turn on the set and dim the lights in the room. Take a bright flashlight and shine it on the screen. If you see a faint picture, you either have a back inverter or a bad backlight bulb.

This tv have a board call the ballast board to help the projection lamp to ignite.U hear clicking noises mean the ballast board is dead,not doing it job igniting the projection lamp.

TV makes humming noise, lamp light is blinking, does not turn on

Your color wheel needs to be changed. Mine just did the same thing. I changed mine, and the buzzing sound went away, however now my picture washes out with light or yellow colors. The darks look green and purple also.

I have two RCA HD52W59 TV's. I have had one for 3 years and one 4 years. The one I have had for 4 years is giving me the problem. Last week the tv turned off while watching it. It wouldnt come right back on. 10 minutes later we tried and it worked fine. the other night the kids were watching and it turned off and smelled like something burning. I tried turning it right back on and got no power at all. I tried to turn it on two days later and it made a buzzing noise and the green light went out. Never did get a picture, no powering up on the screen. Any ideas? Don't want to spend alot of money. Really loved the TV hope it isnt junk now. Better yet I hope the same thing doesnt happen to the other one I have.

TV turned off by itself and now it won't turn back on

If the tv has nothing happening at all when you try and turn it back on including any noise, your power supply is broken. If it is still trying to turn on or does make noise, an internal component has come loose or been knocked off, most likely to your picture tube.

42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Our LG 50" plasma tv screen went black after a popping noise but still had sound, after great diliberations decided to take the back off and have a peek!
We unplugged the tv and tested the fuses (there were three we could see) one had blown, the one on the left as you look at the back of the tv it also has one above it. We wrote the code/seriel number down and took the fuse to the electrical wholesalers Maplin and bought a pack of 10 fuses for £1.29 replaced the fuse in the tv and everything now fine!!!!!!
Hope this might be of use to anyone whose lost the picture after a loud popping/snacking noise but still has sound.

multipoint converge with no remote I do not have the original remote to the Philips 51PW9303/17F. I have replaced the coolant in the green and blue and need to do a multi-point converge. How can I do that with the buttons on the front of the tv? Also how can I make sure I put the blue & green CRT board wires in the right position? I put them basically back in order the red up front by itself then the green in the upper left and the blue in the upper right slots. All CRT board wires clicked into place. Also we cannot get a picture on screen, it is just a black screen. Thank you.
