Lat9706 leaks We have a Maytag Clothes Washer model LAT9706AAE and we seem to have water leaking. The input hoses are OK and the drain hose shows no sign of leakage. The tub fills OK. Is it possible that the tub is overfilling or splashing out when it spins Water seems to come from under the unit but not a flood of water.

SOURCE: Leak from maytag top load coin machine during spin drain cycle only

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim

SOURCE: Maytag vaccuum line, drain washer and reset

This is not so difficult as it looks
turn off the taps
unplug the washer
open the back of the control panel
pull off the pressure line
blow in it till bubbles are heard in the tank, the line is now empty you dont have to blow very hard
cap the line with your thumb
quickly reattach the line to the level sensor without letting air escape
close the panel
plug in
pressure sensing will be correct if no air escaped

SOURCE: Water will not stop filling tub.

the problem is that your pressure switch is not working properly. if you take the screws out of the back of the head you will find the pressure switch. first unplug the washer then undo the hose from pressure switch. blow trew the hose, then blow into the pressure switch if you hear the pressure switch click then re assemble and try again put on small load and watch if fills almost to the top or over flows replace pressure switch

Is water leaking on the floor? Do you hear it running in the drain? Drain hose should be as high as washer top, otherwise water will siphon out, if pump is running might electical issue. Try that first.

Maytag clothes washer Model LAT6910AAW. leaks at the last cycle when the rinse water is drained. it may be the drain pump, except it doesn't leak when the wash water is drained (2nd cycle)

If your machine has a tray that you put softener in, softener is the last thing added at rinse time. If it is plugged or has a leaking supply hose, this would cause water paddles and appear to be related to the drain cycle.

Water leaking from my Maytag Neptune model FAV6800AWW Serial number 15646382GA Leaks during wash cycle imediately and during complete cycle. Enough water to saturate 2-3 towels and clothes come out...

Could be a Tub Seal leak my 1st choice. Could also be a leak caused by a cracked outer tub, issues from the hoses from the drain line connections to the drain pump, drain pump and or drain line.

Are you going to try to DIY the fix?

Troubleshooting Water Leaks

Water leaks in a washer are often difficult to trace. There are many possibilities to look for. The problem could be a loose connection, a broken hose, a cracked component, or a defective seal. It could also be a hole in the tub. If a hole in the tub is the problem, it's usually best to replace the washer.

Most leaks can be eliminated by tightening water connections and replacing deteriorated components. To stop a leak:

Step 1: Check the lid seal. If faulty, replace with a new gasket.

Step 2: Check the hoses at faucet connections. Tighten connections or replace hoses.

Step 3: Check the hoses at water valve connections. Tighten connections or replace hoses.

Step 4: Check the drain hoses. Tighten connections or replace hoses.

Step 5: Check the inlet nozzles. Tighten connections or replace nozzles.

Step 6: Check the splash guard. Tighten connections or replace.

Step 7: Check any plastic valve. Tighten connections or replace.

Step 8: Check the outlet hose to drain. Tighten connections or replace hose.

Step 9: Check the water pump, using the procedures that follow.

Leaking, not found in owners manual

If it leaks during drain or spin cycle, it means that your exit hose has come loose or has a break. This can be replaced easily.............

Maytag Performa Washer

when you put the drain hose on the floor the water will ALWAYS drain out. When the drain is in the proper location (above the height of the tub) and the water is still leaking, if its leaking as it fills you might have a loose hose,or a cracked water inlet valve. If after the water is in the tub and its still leaking you have a bad seal.
