! Card Error Message

My Fuji 4900 suddenly started displaying the !Card Error message. I tried the two Smart Media cards I own, after gently cleaning the metallic surface and both gave the same message. I then replaced the NP-80 battery thinking that might be the problem. The camera still displays the card error message and is unusable. I bought a new Smart Media card as the others had been used a lot and I thought that might be the problem. Even with a new memory card and new battery the camera still displays this message and won't work. It has been a fantastic camera and has given me great service. Can anyone find a solution to this problem? I need it desperately and can't afford a new one right now.

I tried the suggestions, but still nothing works. I can see nothing wrong with the pins -- everything looks lined up. I have tried everything. Anyone else have an idea?

I want to thank both people who have taken the time to give me a possible solution. I just tried the paper cleaning method several times but the camera is still displaying the message. Anyone who has other ideas, I would very much welcome them.

I have A Gateway T50 that was reading no card error also. Try fitting a small piece of foam rubber on the cover so that it presses the card in for a good contact. It seemed to work for me.

I've had similar problem when I was messing around with the Sony memory stick. The cheap pins inside that suppose to touch the memory got screwed up. I just bought the camera so took it back to the store and got a different one. Anyway, try shining a flashlight into the memory slot and see how the pins are. If they are not line up then use a really small something to re-line them like they suppose to. See if it's possible to reformat the memory. That sometime help too. It happened to my sis cell phone. We had to reformat the memory stick to get it working right. I do not think this have anything to do with battery. If you don't put memory in and camera say "No memory" and with memory in and it read "Mem error" then likely the reader or the pins are screwed up. Goodluck.

My digital Camera started to say mem error too. It's an SD memory. I used a regular sheet of paper and ripped it to the size of the memory and slide it in with the memory. The paper is on the side where the terminals contacts are to the memory. Seems like that clean it and camera worked fine again.

    Goodluck.

Getting message on screen of Read Error while trying to solve the "Memory full" message, any ideas?

Memory full, if it is true, you should backup some pictures and delete them from the card.
Read error, can indicate a corrupted file, dirty contacts on the memory card or a camera malfunction.
for 1 backup all photos and format the card. 2. Clean the contacts on the card and in the camera.
3. Contact a FUJI dealer.
Everything is in the manual (still online) on page 112

Take a small flash light and see if there is a part of a memory card in there, if there is cleaning it out would solve the problem. Also make sure you're putting the memory card in the right way. I've you've done that and it's still giving you problems try going into the menu's and formatting the memory card in the camera.

How open in laser toner catridge make-xerox model-phaser 3100

Replace the toner: Always use the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge when replacing the cartridge. The smart card contains the information necessary to reset the level of Toner. Replacing the cartridge without using the smart card may result in the consumable management system being inaccurate.
  1. Insert the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge into the smart card reader. A "Change Toner?" message will be displayed.

  2. Press the [OK] button. An "Open Front Cover Replace Toner" message will be displayed.
  3. Push on the left and right side of the Front Cover and simultaneously lower the cover.
