    Hi,

When I bought my camcorder there is no driver installer to convert the video into a file into my laptop. Therefore I cannot transfer all my videos to my laptop.

    Kindly help me.

    Thanks,

    Armi

Hi, You need to connect the cam and PC using 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable.  After connecting,
Switch on the cam.  Open Windows Movie Maker and import the video from device.

I can't download pictures to my computer error message says cannot detect camera

It may be a USB port issue or a USB cable issue. Try an alternate cable or a different USB port. Try other USB devices on those same ports to make sure they work. Try using a USB card reader to transfer photos from the card directly instead of plugging in your camera directly.

Windows XP compatibility

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

I cant get my pc to see my sony when I plug it in to usb what am I doing wrong???

If your computer is not recognizing this camera, then you may need some drivers to install on your computer. If any CD came with the camera, put that in your computer. If not, then go to this website and look for the drivers that match your operating system.

Camcorder not detected by my computer

I had the same problem with my Canon HF S11 camcorder and found the solution was to connect the usb cable to the back usb port of my computer. Imagemixer then detected the camcorder to transfer videos. Hope this helps.

Syncing camera to computer

What operating-system are you running?

On Windows XP and earlier versions of windows, there should be an icon on your desktop called "My Computer." Click on it once you've attached the camera. You'll at least see "Local Disk (C:), DVD/CD-RW drive (D:), Shared Documents, My Documents", and such. If your computer sees this USB camera, it should list it here. You can click on the camera's icon to view all your pictures.

On Windows Vista, getting to "My Computer" is a little bit trickier. I forget exaclty how, but it's not just set on the desktop like all previous Windows platforms.
