Accidentally Deleted Pictures

I was looking at my pictures saved on my camera. I wanted to delete one, but i must of hit the wrong option as i deleted all of the photos on my camera. I was hoping that there was still a way to retrieve the deleted photos from the camera. If anyone knows of a way, i would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Hello Mrbballboy31, Have no fear, there are many "photo recovery programs" available. You can do a search on google, or go here: http://www.brothersoft.com/Utilities_File_Management_Digital_Photo_Recovery_25889.html for my favorite one I have used several times. If you need any additional assistance, please let us know. Best regards, nightdiver

My camera deleted all of my pictures! how do i get them back?

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download Asoftech photo recovery software, you can follow this article for detail steps
http://www.asoftech.com/articles/how-to-recover-deleted-photos-from-camera.html
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

I accidentally deleted all the pictures files from DCIM file folder on the computer (Imac) using "move to trash" option instead deleted them using camera (nikon D40x) menu. Now, even there is no images on...

Photos can be successfully retrieved from a memory card - however there is a catch. When you delete a photo, you really just tell the camera/computer to act like it isn't there. The actual bits in memory aren't changed to delete it (there is software you can get to actually delete them, but its usually completely unnecessary).
To get back your lost picture files try to use flash file recovery software. http://www.panterasoft.com/file-recovery/index.html

Dissapearing pictures

The new XD cards are very fast and you did not say how you deleted the memory but your best bet is to use your computer to delete and you can verify that it was done. Be careful in handling and inserting the cards the alignment is critical. I accidentally sparked some old memory and lost all of my pictures. This is the reason I upgraded to the XD type of camera. I save all on my drive before I delete any. You may find the new pictures in a different area using your computer.
