Hp deskjet 920c printer won't print.

My hewlet packard's cartridge lite blinks (orange) and the printer won't print. The USB line and power lines are connected. I have shutdown the printer and pulled the power and USB lines, reconnected and repowered the printer and the light still blinks and doesn't print upon command.
I have installed a new cartridge - the proper no's HP78 and HP 15. There is sufficient paper in the tray. The top is closed as tightly as can be.
Any thoughts?

Hi,

i think your having problem on your ink carrier, maybe this are defective that's why you have a orange flashing lights..

Hi,
Make sure Orange protective cap (tape) has been removed from the bottom of the ink cartridge.
Either ink Cartridge is not installed properly or the function for detecting the ink level is disabled. Make sure that you install ink cartridges at correct position as indicated by the label on the print head holder. Press PUSH mark until ink cartridge click into the place.

Please refer below for detailed troubleshooting of the specific condition:

PRINT CARTRIDGE light RESUME light POWER light Blinking Off On

Problem

The printer top cover is open, or there may be something wrong with the print cartridge.

Solution

Close the printer top cover.
If the PRINT CARTRIDGE light continues to blink, continue with the following steps:
1. Open the top cover. The print cartridge cradle will move and then stop.
2. Locate the yellow arrow on the top of the print cartridge cradle. The yellow arrow points to a drawing of a cartridge that represents a symptom. Perform the task associated with that symptom.
3. For a list of symptoms, refer to How to use the cartridge drawings under the top access door on a 900 series Deskjet .

BLINKING ORANGE LIGHT AND NO PRINTING

I just experienced this with my 920c. I cleaned the contacts in the cartridge holders with alcohol and the problem went away.

i think your color ink cartridge is near to empty that's why you are experiencing a pause printing..
try to replace it and try to print again..

PRINTER LIGHTS BLINKING RED THEN GREEN

Either you have ran out of an ink, because some epsons wont run until you replace cartridge, you have a document pending a print, or you need to disconnect printer, uninstall drivers from Add/emove programmes. Re-install driver then re connect printer when prompted
