IPOD- mini model # A1199

I have the Ipod nano 8g and the screen lights up but but get no menu and can't play anything.. I just go this ipod.

your going to have to reset to factory default.

take the sleep timer off...turn ipod on (overnight) kill battery completely...now charge it back up (if you can AC power not via pc)

The Apple website has a solution (worked for me) for iPod nano, mini and video. This their solution:
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
