Convergence board not found

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it is dead.Tv have any colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have any colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?Yes,than the tv convergence board it is dead,convergence board must require changes 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv convergence board to fixed the tv convergence picture problems.The tvs shops will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

This is self protection on the set. Near the high voltage transformer inside the set (it is located as you look from the back on the far left and will either be black or tan--it has a large red wire coming out of the top of it) next to it are 3 tan colored coils--they look like resistors--one of them is gone----this is why convergence does not show in the menu.

One of two things wrong here---either the part just failed or THERE IS A SHORT IN THE CONVERGENCE circuit--it is spread across the circuit boards---these sets are prone to this and you will find many shops do not want to work on them.

Boards are no longer available from RCA except on a rebuild basis.

All parts are RCA only---the coils may be found at a number of sites but that board has to come out.

The coils can be tested like a fuse (which is what they are).

I have seen other techs in the shop I work for spend hours trying to get one of these sets up again.

On your Deflection Board it is the bottom left hand side board has FBT flyback transfomer on it Blowed Fuse FL231 it will be on right hand side of FBT there is 3 of them in a roll small brown rectrangler looking caps but they are fuses ir will be the one in the Middle Call PartStore.com 1-866-925-7278

Yes its a easy an inexspensive repair. www.tvrepairworld.com has the ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit. The kit contains the parts and CD with instructions.

unfotunatly the itc222 has no convergence ics it uses a series of trsansiitors. the fact that u have some areas of the screen clear may mean you need a technician to do a service alignment. when you go into setup does the convergence crosshairs move up and down and side to side on both the blue and red? if they do their may not be a problem with the power board. ONe more thing if you replace this board you will still need a technician to do a service alighnment

Convergence. very common. First question when you go into the customer menu under setup do you have the convergence option. If you do not suspect the convergence fl231 fuse problem. i hove wrote instructions under the tips and trick section. The bowed picture and line definatley indicates a loss of convergence power. There are three seprate cuircit boards that controls this convegence power, convergence amplifer and the small signal board.. the small signal board would have to be replaced by tech. as there is special equipment requird. the other two you can do. If you have convergence option try the autoconvergence option and watch to see what it does

since two colors are affected I would suggest checking the solder on the convergence power supply. If the solder is good you will most likely need a new power supply. The power supply board is the one without all the heatsinks next to the convergence board

Your set has a repair issue with the convergence circuit.
Adjustments in the service menu will not help.............I agree
with Guest comment.... circuit board repair or replacement is

convergence is tricky.. there are three seprate boards that it is split with.. do you have NO convergece at all.. could be convergence power board...one color... convergence amplifer board.. it it could be the signal board.. there's even a chance it could be a descrete fuse... shoot me some more info..

just found the problem fuse that causes this to happen. The set I have also was not converging, and the auto convergences option was also gone. The small fuse labeled fl231 which is right next to the big plastic piece with the large red wire coming from it in the left corner of the circuit board closest to the back. It is the middle of the 3 small fuses that are smaller than a Chiclets gum. I was able to pull up the circuit board and jump the fuse with some alligator clips and the set looked great again. Every one says watch out for the unit with that red wire SO WATCH OUT!
