With the CH DVD300 powered on,you might want to try pushing the stop button on the unit itself for about 20 seconds. That should reset the DVD player to default settings. It worked on mine.

Did you use the reset instructions that are found on a sticker on the top of the player? If so, and the unit is still asking for a password, this might mean the V-Chip or parental guardian has been activated. Please call the customer service number above so see if there is a master password available.

you can reset the settings through the menu, its under the advanced option in the menu. however, its not a regional error, if it was in the wrong region, it would say wrong region and not wrong disk, try putting the region back to 1 or 0 or 9, 1 is USA, 9 and 0 are all regions.

If everything else seems to be functioning, try using your remote to reset the TV. There is a setting to switch the TV from being a TV to being a screen, or monitor, for the DVD player. What the button is labeled varies by manufacturer. It may be: TV/DVD, input, source, display, or something else. Display, for instance, displays the choice on the screen. Highlight and select DVD or perhaps the brand name of the DVD player. This compliments of the Vancouver Radio Shack super geeks.
