you probably have a fault on the stand by power board.
this normally requires soldering and maybe some componet changes. This is not a job for the unskilled. best carried out by a service engineer(shock hazard)

Our Sony Wega tv had the same problem but we had to unplug it for 36 hours and then it started working fine
