I unpluged the tv for over 12 hours and took the batteries out of the remote at the same time and I held down the #1 key on the remote to drain the microprocessor inside the remote. The channel numbers appear on the tv screen, but will not change the channel. I have gone into the menu several times setting up the tv, but nothing changes. We turn on the VCR in order to change the channels. Everything else works fine on the remote and tv except for changing channels.I unpluged the tv for over 12 hours and took the batteries out of the remote at the same time and I held down the #1 key on the remote to drain the microprocessor inside the remote. If your Viore TV is unable to scan digital channels after a power outage, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
Check the TV's antenna connection: Make sure that the antenna is securely connected to the TV and that there is no damage to the cable.
Rescan for channels: Go to the TV's menu and select "Auto Tuning" or "Channel Scan" to rescan for channels. Make sure to select the option for digital channels only.
Check for software updates: Make sure that your TV has the latest software updates. Go to the TV's menu and check for any available updates.
Perform a factory reset: A factory reset will restore your TV to its original settings. This can sometimes fix issues with channel scanning. Consult the manufacturer's manual for instruction.
Check your TV's location: Make sure that your TV is in a location where it can receive a good signal. Try moving the TV or the antenna to a different location.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that the TV's tuner may be malfunctioning and may need to be repaired or replaced. Contact the manufacturer's customer service or a professional technician for further assistance.

Is it the tv's remote? Change the batteries
are you on a cable box? You need to use the providers channel changer. Tv is made to stay on one channel like channel 3 and the cable box runs the different channels.
Look in the owner's manual for instructions on having the TV scan channels. Make sure the converter is on before starting the scan. If that doesn't work, you'll have to buy or borrow a universal remote to take care of it (enter 3, 03 or 003 on the remote control). This will happen every time you remove power to the set, whether it is unplugged or you have a power failure, so start saving up for a new remote control.
Try to manually add cahn 3 or 4 to the lineup. if there is a reciver installed with a coax cable then it should show up on cahn 3 or 4. also you can also try entering the cahn number manually such as pressing zero, three on the keypad or whichever chan you a re trying to access.
press the menu button in the middle of your remote and scroll over to the middle tab that's labled "TV" and then scroll down to "auto search". click on this option by pressing the right arrow key on your remote so that your T.V. and "re-scan for channels. It might take awile. I took me about 5 minutes but for majority of the time it was stuck on 45% while it was scanning.

My tv will not turn on. We had been away for a week and no power interuption at home. We have unpluged the tv for short and long periods of time . We we attempt to turn the power on it cuts off by itself.
Your tuner settings must be set on broadcast instead of cable.
Below channel 13, they use the same frequencies so it doesn't matter.
Find the tuner settings page in the menus and change the
cable/air setting.
