I got a great deal at Cons on a Samsung HT-HDP40 system but it was soled as is, which means there are none of the factory speacker wire, video, audio connection or owners manual with the system. I see the some of you have had problem with this system and I would like to learn from your experinces and get a copy of the owner manual from one of you if possible. I need this so that I can order the wire and connector that are needed to operate the system. Thank You in advance.

Re: Samsung HT-HDP40 Equipment needed
Http://www.samsung.com/download/agreement.htm is where you want to go to get everything you need for your unit! Click on agree and enter your model number, as this is not a US model and this model has to come from the global download center. Good Luck

Normally the speakers and receiver just have a hole that lines up when you push on the head, and a spring pushing back makes contact on the bare wire, when you let go. But if your receiver has jacks or screw terminals instead, then you will have to get them at Radio Shack. They just crimp onto the wire with a pliers or special crimping tool.
The laser lens circuit itself is faulty if cleaning doesn't work. The capacitors and other components can wear out and overheat and burn out through time. You can get another from many suppliers including ebay. and http://www.toocle.com www.tradekey.com
this could be from a number of issues. first is it a home made disk? second the type of changer you are using?
home made disks can be fixed by using a + or - disk depending on the disk and what the drive likes.
as for the second issue it could be a cooling issue or the lens might be dirty try blowing it out with some can air and try to use a lens cleaner disk. they should be able to sell one for about $5 - $10
Yes you can try Bogue Engineering at www.BogueEngineering.com they carry awesome connectors and for your system you need the 4,2mm size. They only cost $21 for a set of 6 and they are much better than Samsungs parts. Hope that helps.
