Question about Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS IXUS 130 Digital Camera
My Ixus 130 was working fine but now it has permanently blurrd photos and screen. I have used the menu to reset it to factory setting but with no joy. Is there a 'hidden' factory reset function. I don't think it has been damaged or dropped.
Remove the card and look for a tiny slide switch on the side of the card. Slide it to the other "unlocked" position, and reinsert it in the camera.

According to the manufacturer you need to press the playback button, which looks like a triangle pointing to the right. Next you need to hold down the func. /set button, and press the menu button. Next you need to use the up/down arrows, or the right/left arrows to choose the desired language and then press the func. /set button. I hope this helps!

In case it uses the SD card, then there is a lock feature in the card.
You will need to unlock the card so that it becomes read/write enabled.
In lock position, it is read only, so you can read the files from it
but cannot create any more files.
Most SD cards have a switch on the edge of one side of the card. Sliding it up or down will unlock or lock the card. When the card is locked, you will not be able to transfer any audio tracks. Nor will you be able to play any copy protected files. We recommend you always keep the card unlocked.
NOTE: We have found that on some cards, if the slider is even halfway towards the lock position, the card will be locked. Make sure that the slider is all the way to the UN-locked position.
