After lending my Iriver H10 to my wife, who subsequnetly left it out in the Dubai sun covered in tanning oil, I have been having problems with the mouse / scroll pad not responding. Resulting in me being unable to make up / down movements through the menu structure.
Any help would be appreciated, Even if its just someone who can repair it in Dubai.
My Daughter's iRiver scroll pad must be stuck...it just keeps scrolling. She says nothing happened to it. Never got wet etc. I am going to attempt to open it and see what it looks like. The one post says it is very easy, but gives no information. I called the company and they have no USA service centers at all...so if it is out of warranty you are out of luck. They say they hope to have a repair center soon...but it sounds like a company running out of a garage. Good luck and buy some other brand.

(Make sure your popup blocker is on, the site loves popups) Scroll down a bit and input the security code to get the file. Save it to your desktop and when it's done, choose to Run it and then install it. Make sure the device is UNPLUGGED when you install the driver. Hope this helps!
Ok , sorry it took me until now to answer , this is a very simple procedure and I promise it will fix your Iriver! All you have to do is go to main menu , scroll down to settings . Then go to additional settings and at the very bottom select " Database Refresh " . This will fully reboot your irvier H10 , and will flush anything harming your mp3 device .

I am having the same problem. Resetting it doesn't work and now it's locked all the time and I can't do anything with it! There are no suggestions on the iriver website. Have you got any other solutions to this problem?
As stated above the 5/6gb units and the 20 gb units use the same scroll bars but they sit on different metal platforms. The platforms are not interchangable. The only way to do it is to remove the old/broken scroll bar from the 20gb metal platform. Then CAREFULY peel the working scroll bar off the 5gb platform be very careful the unit is in multiple layers of plastic and is very FRAGILE. Re attach the working scroll bar to the 20 gb platform and gently plug the little tail into the slot on the motherboard.
OR, buy a working 20 gb scroll bar from ebay. two screws and you're done.
