TZ-55V61 Convergence There was an earlier posting regarding this, but the question wasn't clear, so I will restate. I am able to change/correct the convergence for the numbers 2,3,5,6,8,9. I cannot move the Blue cross to left for numbers 1,4,7. It can move up and down and to the right slightly. From what I've gathered It seems that I need to replace the IC's. Please confirm. and could you restate the location of the convergence IC's I am ordering a manual, but the sooner I can get this done the better of course. Thanks in advance/ danoii

I have not replaced them yet. I know the IC's are stk, but I'm not sure of the part number. If you have that information, and can somehow illustrate which ones they are, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Cross' on convergence are not straight lines up and down, left to right. Only on numbers 1,3,7,9

I had the same problem but replaced my IC's and now the #1 red looks like it jumped out of line and is higher than the green/blue cross. i can move the red up down left right but not low enough to match up with the other 2?

IC's are large & mounted to large heat sinks for cooling......T.

Display looks like you need 3D glasses to view.

Sounds like a convergence problem. Especially since you said that the screen(picture)wasn`t linear anymore.

If the magic/touch focus function doesn`t clear the problem then your convergence modules may be faulty. They are used to align the three tubes (red/green/blue) deflection. If you feel handy with a soldering iron i could assist you in replacing them, otherwise you might need the help of a local repair tech. Hope this help. Good luck

Your set has a convergence problem which is a common issue.

Green and red outline on images but looks clear

Most of the time you can just correct the convergence through the television menu. All that needs to be done is line up the blue and red to the green. If the colors do not move then there may be faulty components in the convergence circuit.

You may have CRT Coolant on one the boards. LOOK very closely for shiny spot on any of the boards. WHY? Because you are saying the TV is having multiple problems. Let me know.

My Hitachi projection TV needs convergence amps. what are convergence amps?

The convergence amps are usually located on the extreme right side of the chassis looking in from the rear of the set. Located on a large heat sink. If you respond to this post with your correct model number I will post the correct ICs for your model, and you will need to replace the six convergence resistors as well.

For a factory reset:
Turn on the camera, push the menu button, push left, down and then right.

You are now on SETUP menu.

Scroll up to the RESET option, push right and then answer YES two times.

your tv needs to be align take it to a tech so that the tv can get a convergence adjustment it is call color bleeding.these things when a set gets old this wil cost between 440.00 TO $75.00,in this the comb filter and the screen voltage will be checked.
