My camera got wet. Help!!!

I forgot I had my camera sitting outside when I turned on the sprinklers. It was soaking wet after an hour or so. I took the batteries out and opened everything on the camera I could to let it dry out. After a few hours, it finally turned on, but started doing things on it's own. Is my camera now garbage? How about the images that were on the card, are they ruined too? Thanks!

Has it dried out yet? The images on the card, as I;m sure you know, were fine.

Installing sprinkler timer

GFCI is just a protected plug for use in wet areas - like Te one in your bathroom. Your sprinklers will work fine plugged into a regular outlet but it may void your warranty if something happens. If your timer is outside or not well protected from weather then consider installing one of these outlets. 7_11_2013_1_40_33_pm.png

I have Intermatic sprinkler model T8845pv. I want to set it for daily watering in only one of 8 zones. When I remove the gold pins in the main dial and locate the zone I want to water, it waters the...

Intermatic sprinkler timers are 24 hour repeat cycle, with day-skipper option.
The timer does not change zones. The timer just turns ON-and-OFF at scheduled times.
Each tripper represents 12-15 minutes of watering. And then the timer circuit turns OFF.
When timer circuit turns OFF, the sprinkler system is designed to advance to next zone each time.
So when the timer circuit turns OFF and then turns ON again, your sprinkler control starts watering the next zone. This is the way sprinkler systems are designed.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-trippers-and-parts.html#sprinkler

If you had a sprinkler system with 1 zone, or could change your sprinkler system to 1 zone on certain days, then the timer would turn that zone on-off each time.
Call a local sprinkler company and see if they have a dual control or some solution >> but sprinkler controls are outside my area of expertise. I am timer expert.

You could solve problem with two separate sprinkler systems, but that would require two timers. I have never seen a 2-channel sprinkler timer. There are electronic two-channel timers that can handle two different programming schedules with minimum 1 minute on-off, and these timers can cost a few hundred dollars up to thousands, PLUS cost of the dual sprinkler system. Add a comment and let me know if two-channel timers are something you want information on.

I had my camera in my purse and when i took it out and turn it on. my camera turns on white screen but with a black liquid spot on it. is it fixable? please help my camera is brand new.

Your purse would have happened to be black and the camera on the outside pocket would it?

If so and it was in heat then the LCD screen has super heated, it might come back after a few hours to cool. There is operating temperature ranges listed in the manual extreme heat and cold will just kill most digital point and shoot type cameras, sometimes they come back sometimes not.

I would also take the battery out of it and let it sit for a few hours to cool DON'T put it in a cold place let it come up to room temperature gradually.

Hi 3 of my 6 gas burners won't light. Can you help me with this?

I had the same problem and was about to call for service, but I decided to try this: I took the brass rings where the gas comes out and soaked them in a good bbq grill cleaner and then brushed them all off. I took a long toothpick and cleaned out each hole in the ring well. Then I put some of the bbq cleaner into the ring on the cooktop where the brass rings sit to clean out the accumulated cooking junk. I brushed them well and used a toothpick around the ignitors to clean off the junk. At first, none of them worked (cause they were still wet I think) but after careful drying and a few moments all of the burners are now working fine. Im sure this saved me a couple hundred dollars and took me an hour.

My Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 was soaked in water. It isn't working, will it work when it drys out?

It depends on how wet it was, if the entire thing was submerged, or even a large portion, it probably will not.it may turn on but it is likely that the lens will be damaged permanently. However if it was just wet upon the outside, like it was used out side during a rain fall, and then wiped dry every thing should be fine.It all depends, try drying it out thoroughly, letting it sit out with all lens caps and lens attachments removed, battery doorway open. is the best thing you can do. I hope that everything works out for you. God bless...

Accidentally left in water, won't turn on. Is it done for?

I agree with Turbo76 but if water damaged, you may have fried a chip. The reason the lens crawls is because of water in the gears. If you have patience, you can probably take it apart. There are a few screws on the outside and the front just pops off. Not really hard to do.

If you feel like working on it, I would first power it on and remove the batter so that the lens is out. This will allow you to wipe the surface.

I would then remove the outer screws and lift up the face. There are two tabs that you need to flip up in order to remove the ribbon cables. There are only two of them.

And the lens assembly just lifts out. No screws....

Once out, try to carefully wipe anything down, and try to clean out any wetness that may still be present or mildew.

In order to really clean the lens, I don't recommending you take it apart unless you have the patience to reassemble it.

You may need to clean the physical gears. But I'll leave that for another day.

My Canon S750 Bubble Jet Printer does not print with black ink. It seems to print all other colors though.

Replace and install the black ink cartridge with this Black Ink Tank BCI-3eBK Ifyou have done this and is still missing the black ink on print, clean the print heads. 1. Right-click the printer icon, and then select 'Properties'.
2. Click the 'Maintenance' tab, and then click 'Deep Cleaning'. 3. Read the message displayed, and then click 'OK'. The power lamp blinks and print head deep cleaning starts. (Do not perform any other operations until print head deep cleaning is complete. Print head deep cleaning takes about 1 minute.)

That should most likely work. If deep cleaning did not help, you may need to replace the print head.
