Will a speedometer cluster from a 95 Geo Prism fit in a 93 Prism?

My speedometer is not working in my 93 Geo Prism. I replaced the VSS but still not working. Can only find a speedometer cluster for a 95 in my area. Will this fit in a 93?

If in some days, you realize that you don't want to use Gmail anymore, but you also don't want to lose your frequently contacted email addresses, you can export contacts in Gmail to transfer to your new email service. You're also able to apply this trick to backup the email addresses that you frequently contact with in case Gmail down.
In this article, I will introduce you on how to export and backup contacts in Gmail as well as export contacts in Gmail to other Gmail accounts, Outlook account or another email.
Step 1: In the Gmail web interface, click on the down - arrow next to the Gmail item (on the top left) and choose Contacts.
Step 2: Choose More-> Export in the Menu on the left.
Step 3: Click on Go to old contacts
Step 4: Click on Others item on the taskbar then choose Export...
Step 5: Choose the contact list that you want to export. Here, I will choose All contacts to export all of my contacts.
And select which formats you want to export. If you want to backup your Contacts or import it into another Gmail address, then you select option 1. Select option 2 if you want to use Outlook or Hotmail and the 3rdone if you use email service of Apple.
After having selected, click on Export.
Step 6: Now, CSV file will be downloaded to your computer.
Step 5 : You can use this file to add your contacts following the option you select in.
Good luck!

SOURCE: SPEEDOMETER CABLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED

There is no cable on the 93 Prizms.  The problem is one of two things, either the "vehicle speed sensor" or the instrument cluster itself.   I also have a 93, and the speedometer started acting up a while ago. Sometimes it would register 0 then it would spike up to 70 and stay there at highway speeds then back to 0 upon slowing.  I replaced both items from the junk yard.  The speed sensor at an auto parts store will run about $160, and a new cluster will cost A LOT more at the dealer! I first replaced the speed sensor with no luck ($5.00 at the junkyard) the same thing happened 0 or 70.   I replaced the cluster today ($13.99 at the junkyard).  That was it! Problem solved.  The cluster is EASY to replace, remove the 2 screws from the trim piece and remove trim.  Next, remove the 4 screws that hold the cluster in place; 2 at the very top (don't remove the ones just above the cover glass) and two at the bottom.  Pull one side of the cluster out; there are 3 plugs; squeeze the center of the plugs to release the clip and wiggle them free.  Connect the replacement cluster, but before screwing it in, do a check to make sure all the panel lights work.  I had a few that were burned out, so I used the old cluster lights to replace them.   I would try replacing the cluster first.  Good luck!

SOURCE: I HAVE A 1994 GEO PRISM 1.6L THE SPEEDOMETER

I've had a similar problem with my '94 prizm. I had to replace the instrument cluster about seven or eight years ago because the speedometer quit working. After replacing with a used instrument cluster it's been working fine till now. However, the problem is back again....so I'm looking for another used one. There is definately a weakness in this speedometer design when the mileage on the car gets high. Your problem is different since you replaced both the sensor and the speedometer and it still doesn't work. Chances are, you got a speedometer that didn't work to begin with. I would try another used one.

I have a 95 grand marques the Speedo and odometer have stopped working I have already changed out the vss on the output shaft of the trans twice for the thought of possibly buying a junk sensor but to no...

Without a scan tool to confirm the BCM is getting good signal from the VSS, it's a risk. Since you've already replaced the VSS, it's time for a rebuilt cluster. DON'T buy a junyard unit. The rebuilt ones are fully refurbished and come with a warranty. Do a search for instrument cluster rebuilders.

Speedometer stopped working after fitting an alarm. What could be the problem?

Put everything back the way it was and see if speedometer starts working again?
Newer instrument clusters, the gages are not hardwired, The cluster receives buss data telling the instrument what to do with gages and speedometer. Checking the speedometer/vss sending unit would be a thought. Hopefully, you didn't hurt the instrument cluster?

Wiring diagram 93 geo tracker

all last post was error, under GEO Prism the car is really
a 93 tracker, not that is much more easy
make sure you know what engine you have first. 8valves or 16v
as every other page is different by those 2 factors. (engine type)
most are here. (to make car run and lamps work)

the link is really just a large fuse. for A./C
did blow the main fuses. messing with battery or alternator or starter>?

on all cars ,before messing, pull the NEG battery lug first.
this prevents blowing out those big puppy fuses.

Honda Accord EX 94 vss has been replaced, but still nothing work

If all the connection and power supplies to instrument cluster are ok,I suspect that the speedometer or instrument cluster is faulty but before you replace it, make sure the gear inside the transmission that drives the VSS is in good.
