Cannot Take Pictures Anymore...

I was about to take a picture and was zooming out, and suddenly my lcd screen turns black and says in white letters, "Turn the power off and on again" When I did this, you see the Cybershot logo appear, then it says "Access" with a black background behind it...then the same msg appears (Turn the power off and on again). I can still review old pictures on the lcd. My zoom is also stuck all the way out and won't go back in. I've tried removing the battery and also the memory card but nothing works. Someone help me please!!!

I googled my problem and found that you can open it up and fix it yourself, but one of my camera's screws was stripped so I ended up sending it back to Sony (cost me $20 to ship) since I'm still under warranty. I have not gotten it back yet.

    Good Luck people!

Why is display information having a ghost like after image when the camera is turned?

Perhaps some moist came behind the glass? perhaps some air? Try to live with it, because the result is what counts and the pictures don't have this problem. I think it will cost far to much to bring it to a service or repair centre. Use the money to buy a new camera what this no longer shoot pictures.

My lcd screen is black

From what I can understand, if the camera is sill able take pictures but is not displaying any thing on the LCD, then it is a problem with the LCD or LCD cable connecting to rest of the camera or LCD driver on main board.

It can be as simple as a loose flexible PCB connection to the camera main board.

Pictures showed little white stripes, optic zoom

The electronics that run the sensor are gone. The camea can be sent back for repair, but the cost may be more than it is worth. New cameras like yous sell for $ 299.99 and up. If it was mine, I would toss it and buy a newer camera. You will get new features and more resolution. If you have a lot of accessories and really like that old one, you may try finding a used on in very good condition. Be aware of used since you dont know what problems you will be buying. Make sure the camer has a return period or warranty so you can return it if it doesn't test correctly.

KODAK eASYSHARE c530 BLACK SCREEN DOES NOT TAKE PICTURE

You may still be able to take pictures with your black screened Kodak camera. This problem occurs in the line of Kodak EasyShare digital camera models.

When you turn on your Kodak EasyShare digital camera, turn off the LiveView function. Take a picture using the small-windowed viewfinder (this is not the LCD screen). Also, try zooming in and out.

After taking a picture, review the picture to see if the picture has been taken. Then turn on LiveView and occasionally the LCD screen should no longer be showing a black screen.

Cannot Take Pictures Anymore...

Hey BLOBO123,
I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. You could bring it to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they can send it out for service. The flap that holds the batteries in could possible be purchased from the manufacturer and is probably pretty easy to replace, but the lens is usually much harder and expensive to repair. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
