I was about to take a picture and was zooming out, and suddenly my lcd screen turns black and says in white letters, "Turn the power off and on again" When I did this, you see the Cybershot logo appear, then it says "Access" with a black background behind it...then the same msg appears (Turn the power off and on again). I can still review old pictures on the lcd. My zoom is also stuck all the way out and won't go back in. I've tried removing the battery and also the memory card but nothing works. Someone help me please!!!
Sony has recalled some cameras due to the LCD screen problems..I called today because my local camera shop told me there was a recall my model..so Sony is sending me a shipping label and fixing it at no cost...

Green, I spent some time today with a sony tech rep on line. We went thru the motions of battery, memory card and still no help. So I'm sending my camera back to sony for repair. Mine is still under warranty. Hopefully yours is too. Good Luck. Mike aka m1stones1

I googled my problem and found that you can open it up and fix it yourself, but one of my camera's screws was stripped so I ended up sending it back to Sony (cost me $20 to ship) since I'm still under warranty. I have not gotten it back yet.
Good Luck people!
