Epson stylus cx3200 paper jammed

My epson got jammed today with a bunch of paper as I didn't check that those papers were not in the correct position in the tray. I took them out but the result was when I turned the printer on, there was a noisy from the printer. I don't know exactly if one or more peripherals got broken while I was taking out the papers. Doed anyone have the same experience before? Please I need your advice. Many thanks, Tim

You do need to exert a little bit of force to turn the roller. Stop turning when the roller looks like PAC-MAN.

If you look down where the paper feeds there is a roller as you pulled the paper back upwards out of printer you have forced the roller the wrong way you will have to push the roller round by hand it will click and clunk till it goes back into its proper location

My Epson 3620 printer keeps telling me a have a paper jam. I cannot find one!

Hi, Try the following: remove paper feed tray completely, , remove paper, restack and refill, check and make sure there is no paper stuck from where the feeding tray is positioned. Then re install paper tray, make sure it is position correctly. Open and close all the places you did open and close to inspect for paper jam, make sure they are close securely as to activate the microswitches. switch machine off and restart. Hope this works

I have a message on screen sayng " ADF Jam" there is no paper jamming the system. I cannot make this message go away, and so i cnnot use any other function of the printer. How might I clear...

Hi travlynn2,

  1. The ADF
unit is the grey paper tray located on the top of the scanner unit.
Check the following points if it does not feed paper, or you receive an "ADF jam" error message:

  2. Check the position of the ADF document guide:

    1. Lift up the ADF unit. Locate the document guide on the underside, as shown here:

    2. The document guide should be tucked in behind the grey plastic casing, but a paper jam can push it out of position. Figure 8 below shows the correct (1) and incorrect (2) positions:

    3. If your document guide looks like example (2)
on the right, lift it out on the right-hand side. Tuck it in behind the
grey section, so that it matches the example on the left (1).

    1. Close the scanner unit.

    2. If the printer is displaying "ADF Jam, press start to continue", press the B/W Start button to clear the error:

    3. Test the printer by scanning or faxing via the ADF unit.

  3. Check the ADF edge guides:

    1. The adjustable paper tray edge guides must be set to the correct paper size for the paper you are loading. Otherwise, the paper may skew, misfeed and/or jam.

    2. Slide the edge guides to enclose the loaded
paper (in the direction of the yellow arrows below), without causing it
to bunch or crease. The paper should be aligned with the relevant paper size marker:

Figure 9. The ADF edge guides.

  4. Check the ADF unit feed rollers:

    1. Open the cover of the ADF by pulling up the grey lip, as shown below:

    2. Check thoroughly for fragments of paper and foreign objects. Take care not to tear any jammed paper when you remove it.

    3. Use the green gear (circled in yellow below) to turn the paper feed rollers and feed through jammed paper:

    4. Paper dust or foreign material on the rollers may cause paper to misfeed. Clean these parts with a damp, well-wrung cloth:

      1. The upper paper pickup rollers (circled in red, above top left). You can turn these by hand.

      2. The lower paper pickup rollers. These will rotate as you turn the green gear (circled in yellow above). See the inset for a close-up of the lower rollers.

    5. When complete, close all the covers.

    6. If the printer is displaying "ADF Jam, press start to continue", press the B/W Start button to clear the error:

    7. Test the printer by scanning or faxing via the ADF unit.

  5. Check that the ADF unit sensors are not obstructed.

    1. Open the cover of the ADF unit.

    2. Look at Figure 12 below. Check the position of the black plastic parts (the actuators) circled in red.

    3. If the black plastic actuators do not stick out from the ADF cover, they may have been pushed out of position by a paper misfeed and be obscuring the ADF sensors. Tap the back of the ADF unit firmly to release the actuators.

    4. When complete, close all the covers. Check and test the printer as explained in Step 6.d.vi.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I had a paper jam in my epson tx600fw. took the paper out. then when i turned it back on, it still says paper jam. There is no paper stuck in machine yet everytime i turn it on it says there is a paper...

The printer needs to be reset. First try unplugging it to see if it resets. If not you will have to look at the manual and go into maintenance properties to reset it.

Hi, there is continous paper jam flashing light indicated at the printer (epson 600). i have checked but i found nothing jammed. i wounder i could be the reason. your support is...

Sorry - no solution, except to perhaps agree with the guy who says throw it out the window. I only wish I wasn't just on the first floor. This thing does more jamming than printing. It claims a jam when there is none. Infuriating.

Erroneous paper jam message. Unit sat without paper or cartridge for 3 months. When it was plugged back in without paper, the paper jam error shows up.

it seems that the head cannot move from its initial position to the paper margin position. check for any objects in the paper path. Put a paper (not more than 220 gsm) in the paper tray and press eject button. Push paper to go inside the printer. It will come out with the paper or object in the path. If it did not give solution call the service call centre.

Epson NX415 Paper jam. I took paper out but it's

Check for other bits of ripped off paper stuck in your machine.
Try turning off your printer for 30 secs and turn it back on.

My Epson cx 4200 won't print because each attempt the paper jam light flashes and the printer stops trying to print. The paper is being pulled into the machine un-evenly.

It's highly likely that you either have a foreign object down the paper feed tray or the guides are incorrectly set...

Hopefully one of these will solve this:

1. Remove any paper, tape down the scanner lid and
gently tip your printer upside down and give it a GENTLE shake to see if anything drops out. This is really only something I'd recommend for someone strong and careful so take your time.

2. Check for any jammed foreign objects such as pens, paper clips, etc...that have fallen down into the printer. The place to look is wherever the paper seems to be bunching up most as it goes through

3. Make sure you're inserting the paper, with the guides set to the correct width and not loose. The guides help correct any issues with skew as the paper is pulled in, so this may correct any other issues.

Hope one of these helps..

''place paper in drawer''

Sounds like a paper sensor ; A little black arm that senses paper tray is full, when the tray lifts into position. You might pull the tray and with a flashlight look for any broken parts. I have seen these break when paper jams are removed. This is a Toshiba 2860 correct?
