Replace your Lamp visit Encompass Parts Distr online look up your model number or Call 1-800-638-3328 If Lamp has already been replaced then it will be either a defective Fan or Ballast board which is what turns Lamp on Make sure all Fans are running.

SOURCE: no picture

There are other things that can cause the image to go away besides the lamp, like a color wheel, a ballast or a dmd board. Replacing the lamp is very easy you just need to open the back of the Tv, unscrewing everything, take out the housing, unscrew it take out the lamp, put in the new one and screw everything again, also make sure that you close everything perfectly because if you don't the lamp might not light up.

My Panasonic has exactly the same problem. The repair man just came in and said that the convergence and resistor burned under heat and have to be replaced. Will cost $400.

You have a defective temperature sensor
3 blinks flashes oncenevery 5 seconds
IC2301(pin74 and 75) detects open or short of the Temperature
Sensor (R2911) on Front Thermistor C.B.A., then indicates the
error when Temperature Sensor is open or shorted.
(The error is not detected for 1 minute after Lamp ON.)

Panasonic PT-61LCZ7 is a Lemon I purchased this TV on 11/23/07 The first lamp assembly was replaced on 5/21/08 the second lamp assembly was replaced on 2/19/09 and now it is 10/16/10 and it is out again....

I have the exact problem with the exact model! I'm getting ready to garbage it and I would if the darn thing didn't cost me over $2500 to buy. Do what I did..call panasonic 1-800 number, tell them your story, then tell them you want it forwarded to the top guys, they will give you a referance number and tell you someone will call you back, hopefully the "big" guys will pay for the next lamp, I'm going to ask for a new tv of comparable value...I've had it with these guys! Hope this helps
