Question about Toshiba TP55H60 55" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Screen problems It looks like I have a green and blue/red bottom on my tv. I would like to fix it but really don''t know where to start. I have tried the conversion thing in the menu and tried to line them up but the bottom will not line up. Can anyone help?

Ok first off Are you a trained technician? Do you know the High voltage safety issues with TV sets?? NO? Sorry you should not be tinkering inside this set as it will sereously kill you! a Tv now a days should not be treated like an experiment to see if you canm see what the problem is.. beleive me If you have no training on what a resistor color code is or how you check a capacitor. you should and I beg you to seek out a trained tech before you fry your butt! your problenm with your set is the typical problem almost if not all projection tube type sets have. Its the convergengence IC's that have gone bad and they are soldered into the printed circuit board, and if your not experienced with soldering, you can disroy the PC board. Good luck and please call a tech to assist you.
