I cleared a paper jam by pulling the paper out the front. Now the printer won't pick up paper. Can this be fixed?
Take some alcohol and clean the pickup rollers, prolly dirty, they get a film on them of dust and debris over time, they work on a similar principal to the pet hair rollers, they get dirty u gotta clean. There is a product called platen clean which I used to use which has a preserving agent in it but alcohol works ok but can dry out pickup roller and in a month or two your doing it again.

Leading cause of paper
jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed
area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

Paper jams inside the printer

Clearing credit card-sized paper jammed inside the printer
Credit card-sized and 4" x 6" sized paper must be loaded properly. If this media is not loaded properly, it will feed into the printer and will not exit. Credit card-sized paper should only be loaded in the ASF and in portrait orientation. 4" x 6" sized paper can be loaded in the ASF or cassette. But must be loaded portrait orientation.
If credit card-sized paper was loaded in landscape orientation in the ASF and did not eject (exit), please follow this procedure.

I have the same problem. Just started today. I tried turning the printer off and on again and just loading one sheet of paper. right before it went down it took a chunk of paper through instead of just one piece.
Mine will attempt to take all paper from feed tray at once, so to print or copy I must only place one sheet at a time in feed tray. Otherwise its a big paper jam.
I also cleared a paper jam by pulling the paper out of the front of the printer....afterward it showed the "paper tray empty" error message. Only restarting the printer clears the error message but the printer now does not pick up paper from the tray.
Arrrrrgh!!!
I have the same problem. I performed all the checks in this link:

nothing worked.
printer is not working showa check paper but has plenty in the tray
Have been pulling paper jams out from front (and sometimes back) for the 4 years we've had it. Sometimes grabs more than one sheet at a time. Just today it will print (from Word) just fine, but it won't copy--won't pick the paper up at all, or only on one side. Tried another board that suggested taking the top off and putting a plastic cap back on the rod, but it doesn't appear to be off in my case (just loose). Now what??
I was printing out pictures when all of a sudden my printer started giving me feed issues. I tried even inserting regular paper and printing a word document to no avail. I've tried cleaning the rollers as suggested and it still says I'm out of paper, when there is clearly some in the tray. Unless I can get it to work again, its just an oversized paperweight at this point. lol
Any other suggestions besides cleaning the rollers? Thanks in advance!!
