If your Emerson ewc 1303 won't turn on manually or with the remote, there are a few things that could be the problem.
Here are a few things to check:
1. Check the power cord. Make sure it's plugged in securely to both the outlet and the TV.
2. Check the batteries in the remote. If they're dead, replace them and try again.
3. If you're still having trouble, try resetting the TV. To do this, unplug the TV from the outlet, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
4. If the TV still won't turn on, there may be a problem with the TV itself. In this case, you'll need to contact Emerson customer service for assistance.
It sounds like the Amplifier has been overloaded by the four speakers. It could be an easy fix depending on how it has failed and if you have the Technical ability to have a look at it yourself.
If you think you want to have a look into it yourself then I'll try and talk you through it.
kungfuz...I have had two of these emerson cd players. One is in my home and is still working after 3 1/2 years. The other was purchased for our church just over a year ago and it has stopped working. The disks will turn a little then stop. Occasionally it will still play a complete hymn but this is rare. Also a grinding sound can be heard with the ear close to the unit. I think when you pushed the combo of buttons and it stopped working, this is likely just a fluke and it was probably going bad anyway. I may be wrong but I have been down this road myself and your problem sounds very similar to mine. I can't offer you much encouragement...sorry...!
This is an excellent system for a bedroom or small
office area. The random color changing light feature is very soothing
to fall asleep to as well as the random/all disc playback so you don't
fall asleep to the same thing every night! The 90 minute max sleep
timer is just perfect to give me time to read a little and still be
able to fall asleep to music. I also use the random playback feature
during the day to play my parrot's training CDs so he doesn't get bored
either! This is a great system and I highly recommend it.
got manual but the directions dont work to turn off the color display
