I recently acquired this used set which has a few problems both related to the picture. The first is the lower two corners are washed out with a yellowish-green hue. This is not a big problem as I am often watching DVD's that do not use that portion of the screen. The more concerning problem is after 15-30 seconds of a perfect picture, the screen seems to slump. Technically, the top of the picture is concave while the bottom is convex or u-shaped. Also, the picture quality declines to a darker, slightly greener picture. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sony kv-32hv600 picture problems
Problem 1. Color patches at lower corners. These are caused by magnetic sources close to the TV. Do you have any Speakers close to the sides of the TV? Are they Magnetically sheilded? No? Move them away from the TV. Problem should then resolve itself in a couple of days.
Problem2. Screen Slumping. Most likely a problem with the Pin cushion correction ckts. Get a good technician to have look. cost should not be much. Under 100$ plus Technician fees.

How many times the standby light flashes in between switch ON and going OFF? For more details about this fault, visit this site, and call older posts.
Type in this link address, [without brackets] either to Google Search Box or into the Address Bar to your browser and press Enter. It has all the details about blinking codes of Sony Sets.
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://homenol.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, [Exclude the model number] in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
If the blink repeats the same number of times (up to 6 or 7) between pauses, the number of blinks is a trouble code. Determine that number (count), then search this site and the web for your TV model and that code. Also look on the rear of the set for the chassis number, and search on that keyword.
