Panasonic cordless phone #KX-TGA931T

Can't get dial tone. Think due to one of four handset phones states "Conference & Line in use" message. Can't locate or see anything which allows me to end above status. Help...can't use phone.

    I bought this phone recently and have the same problem. Putting on speaker phone shuts the phone, and message comes Line in Use or Unable to connect to the base, connect the AC adapter. This has been so annoying. This problem also occurs when pushed Talk button but less frequently as compared to SP-Phone.



    I am ready to take this phone back for return.

    Cannot shut off the Caller ID announcements - the handset instructions ("Off") don't work.

    The Caller ID announcement cannot be shut off. It was fine until I subscribed to Caller ID with my phone company. How can I shut off the announcement w/o unsubscribing to Caller ID?

For the speakerphone switching phone off problem, substitute the 630 mAh Ni-MH battery that comes with the phone with a better Ni-Mh battery of higher mAh such as Duracell or better yet eneloop.

ck the red and green wire that goes to the system those 2 make the phones work just do the main main phone first , , it does not sound like the phones are broke you are not getting a dial tone due to no connection to the line itself

Tried holding down the OFF button until it sounds that it has fixed the blinking light...it works but afterwards it starts blinking again,,,,still no message....can you help???
Do you have telco-provided message-center? Their message-waiting indication on the line (reversed polarity, I believe) can turn on the message light on some phones. They usually also provide a "stuttered" dial tone when you first go off-hook.
You'd need to empty that mailbox to get rid of the indication.

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Hi I am trying to get a dailing tone but nothing is happening
Firsst of all check the line to the base phone, test with a good phone for confirmation or test the voltage of the line. next clean the surfaces of the handset contacts to the base. check if the battery of the handset is good. if not replace. Next placing the phone on the base should make it detect the base. If the base and the handset does not mate, then you will not get the dial tone. this could be due to failure of the inout due to lightening/ thunderstorms, failure of the optocouplers, the dial switching ICs or the main processor. You will need to check on these electronic sections. I hope this helps. Good day

3- way conference call with tga542m?
One of the two "soft buttons" at the top of the keypad (first row of keys under the handset's display) should read Flash when you are on a call. Hit that button, you'll hear the line tone, dial the number and wait for the other person to answer. Hit Flash again and they should be joined together. If not, you may need to subscribe to Call Waiting/3-way Calling through your telephone company.
