I had this problem, and was able to solve it by holding the unit (carefully) so that the CD slot faces the floor, then pushing the eject button. Gravity acted to eject one CD, then the other.
Hi Doug
I had the same problem and have just managed to pull the offending cd out by improvising a long hook. I hooked it on to the central hole in the cd and just gently pulled it out.

If you un plug the unit for 2 hours and after that you hold down the cd in button whille you plug it in until it says cd reset and it should pop it right out

Isn't there a security code needed to reset the stereo after a battery change? The Stereo thinks it has been stolen. See your Manual and see your nearest Toyota dealer. Or use a tweezers to reach in and pull out the stuck CD. And clean the rollers with alcohol.
This is most commonly a belt in the drawer mechanism and is easy to fix IF you have the right belt in hand and can access where it goes. A technician will be able to help.
This fault can be caused by a second CD having been forced into the drive somehow. Shine a torch into the slot to check. A friend of mine had 3 CDs stuffed into the drive by his toddler! Unfortunately the drive did not survive.
TRY TURNING OFF CD PLAYER.WAIT 10 MINUTES THEN TURN CD PLAYER BACK ON THEN PRESS THE EJECT BUTTON.SOME TIMES CDS PLAYERS GET HOT WHEN PLAYED FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.MY CDS SEEMS GET STUCK WHEN I PLAY CD PLAYER LONG TIME.SOMETIMES IF CD DONT COME OUT .IF IT STICKING OUT JUST A LITTLE.TRY PUSHING BACK IN CD PLAYER THEN EJECT IT.THIS TRICK WORKS SOME TIMES.
Take another cd and push the stuck one all the way back then try and
eject it. If it doesn't come out right away do the process again this
time when you hit eject take another cd and push down or up on it. Wiggle it around so it catches the rollers in there. Using CDs with homemade labels causes jams when the stickers peel up.
