The camera is quite new. It looks new though. I just bought it on ebay. Anyway: When I try to switch the camera on, sometimes it works, sometimes not. It just doesn't move at all. The display remains black and the object lens doesnt move too. Its like I didnt push the on buttom. And sometimes when I managed to turn it on, it just stop working suddenly, the display gets black but the object lens is still extended...
Do you know whats the problem is? hope u can help me! thanks in forward

This is the lens focus gears. They are either knocked out of alignment, or debris has jammed them. The good news is it can be fixed....Casio most likely won't help. Hint...google my user name.

this is a weird problem but i found out why it sometimes happens. You have some how broken a cog inside the camera and therefore it doesnot work. I opened my camera and the cog came out and shot me in the face and the cog i half broken...

The EX-Z57 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. While an SDHC card will fit into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.
