I have a problem with a 15" flat screen vf51. There is power, the green light comes on and a message 'signal out of range'. Then power light goes orange. I can just see a faintmessage box but cant read it. This is my mums, I took it to get it fixed for her. I need to know what is wrong with it so I dont get overcharged. Can anyone help please. How much should I expect to spend? If it is the lamp or bulb? If it is Inverter circuit? If it is a video circuit?
It is the inverter board that is causing the screen to be feint. But is was the video resoloution being set too high that made it give the "out of range" message.
It's not easy to get anywhere to repair LCD monitors, and the prices could be well out of scope to bother with the repair.
Having said that, you can now call a few TV repair centres close to you and ask for a quote based on repairing the inverter circuit.
Hope that helps =)
