I had same problem. first turn of the printer and unplug electrical supply. turn the printer upside down and make sure there is nothing stuck in paper feeder. the next step, take a paper sort of a greetings card and try to run it through the feeder gently. if you cant get it through then don't force it. but this will clear up any object stuck in to paper feeder. now plug in yor power cord and try a test page from your printers properties. hope this will work for you. good luck...........

Canon ir2016 jams papers under registration clutch. the clutch runs on power up but does not run when copig or printing help

This seems to be a common problem for the Canon ir 20 xx series machines. The problem is having machine indicating paper jams on the left hand side of the machine. When you open the left cover you do sometimes find paper stuck on entering the fuser unit. The main problem, and loads of these machines with these problems have been fixed, are the half moon pickup rollers! Clean the pickup rollers or even better, replace them and you will get the machine working 100%!! To confirm this try copying from the machine using the manual feed tray. You will never get a paper jam. This fault is due to incorrect pickup resulting in timing problem and thus getting paper jams! Good luck!

I have a Lexmark E240n printer. It keeps jamming at the same spot each time I try to print. Checked and tested the entry and exit switches. Checked good. All gears are turning smoothly. The paper jams...

does the exit switch stick up in the back of the fuser into the paper path? I've had to replace lots of the exit sensor flags because the top half was broken off while clearing a paper jam.

When I try to print anything the paper will load half way then it will say I have a printer jam. It wont print anything and does this every single time I try to print anything.

Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

IBM InfoPrint 1612 Repeatedly erroring - Paper Jam

Check the FUSER, I think your exit sensor is bad.
If you open the rear door, look inside where the paper starts to come out of the printer, you should see a small lever that triggers the PAPER EXIT sensor. It might be hard to see. If it is not broken, you need a new FUSER.

Paper doesn't feed

It could be a few things, but the times I've had similar problems it was either caused by the feed/gripper rollers in the paper trays being worn out, thus not feeding any paper or feeding half a sheet and then jamming.

Or, it could be that the elevator in your paper tray isn't lifting, but if it's taking paper it's probably the rollers.

Paper always on right when loading to be printed

Canon Printers are notorious for paper jams. Don't throw it out the window just yet, there are several solutions. Visibly check that there is nothing obstructing your printer (use a flashlight). A kitty may have hacked up a hairball (just kidding). Try a can of compressed air to blow out any foreign objects as well as turning your machine gently upside down to be absolutely positive nothing is obstructing the roller assembly. Next, open your Word Pad and type anything (like how much you are enjoying your Canon Printer Jamming and how you will recommend Canon Printers to all your friends), Use an A4 paper size 'POSTER PAPER' (the same size that you normally use (8 and one half inch by 11 inches) as this is thicker than what you would use. From your Word Pad, click PRINT, you will need to run the paper through several times and this will clean out any built up residue. If you do not have 'POSTER PAPER' a 'MAGAZINE COVER' will suffice (just be certain that it is the same size). After you have run your 'POSTER PAPER' through, load your regular printing paper normally and this should resolve your 'FANTASTIC CANON PRINTER'.

Paper jam

Are you sure you have the correct size paper?
Also check and make sure the exit rollers are turning, if not then there is a broken gear in hte fuser
