I have a Tatung L50 LCD monitor and need a power cord.
I have a Tatung L50 LCD monitor and need the cords to go with it. A friend gave it to me but doesn't have the cords. I am unable to find them anywhere as they seem to be unique. It is a 8 pin and 4Square pin connection for the power. Do you know where I might be able to obtain one. I live in Hamilton ON Canada

check the monitor to computer cord, sounds like it might be loose or disconnected. swap another monitor in and go to display properties to see if the tatung is a 2nd monitor. using the replacement monitor redownload the drivers and reinstall. turn off and hook the tatung back and it should recognize it
The same power cord as used for your PC power supply cord.

I hope there is no problem with this TV, it has known problem with power supply and sound problems.
I purchased a HP Pavillion Slimline computer that was accompanied by and HP flat screen monitor: HPw1858. My problem is that the power cord is missing. Can you help me locate somewhere I can purchase this cord?
It is not initially obvious how to access this insides of the monitor
Unusually, access is only available through the front of the screen. The stand cannot be removed on this model.
You need to pry a screw driver (or two) through the four holes located at the rear base of the monitor and remove the front panel surround. The LCD panel and all electronics can be lifted out after removing four screws.
