If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to

reinstall drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the

(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it

The sound goes out of the computer to a set of speakers. If the monitor has speakers built into it, then the sound comes out of them. Each computer must have a connection to the sound card (the little green hole) to speakers. If you want sound from the second computer, unplug the sound cable from the one computer and plug it into the other one.

Make sure the speakers are hooked up properly and also that the sound card drivers are installed, you can verify this by going into the device manager. The main speaker wire has to be hooked up to the output of the computer sound card.

If the sound card drivers are installed and the speakers are hooked up properly and your still not getting sound, try the speakers on another computer that you know has sound. If the speakers work then its a sound card driver issue on the original computer. If the speakers don't work on another computer then you know the speakers are bad.

Is the jack "on-board"? That is, on the motherboard? Or, do you have a separate sound card in your computer? On-board sound devices frequently fail . Either way, I would say you probably need a sound card. Make sure you have an open OCI slot in your computer and then go buy a PCI sound card. Oh yes, once installed, you may or may not need to disable the on-borad device in your BIOS to prevent conflicts.

Sounds as if you lost the audio drivers for your sound card. Go into your Control Panel and call up SOUNDS. Double-click on any sound listed and see if you get an error message stating you don't have a sound card.

If that's the case, go to the website for your brand of computer and search for the audio drivers for your make and model computer.

Tin like sound from small speakers only. No sound
switch on your speaker set in full volume unplug it from computer touch the plug , as you touch you can hear a sound ( loud hum sound) if the speaker is working. If okay then check the right jack, plug it into green color jack. you can try if your computer is okay use a headphone plug it into the jack in PC , if the computer is okay you may hear the sound.
