Chris an F-20 is usually a clogged filter on duet washers. Did you go by the tech sheet in your machine? It gives the codes and remedys and is in a jacket behind the kickplate which you remove to get to the filter. You will need a quarter inch nutdriver to gain access. SERVICE MANUAL is HERE on my manual page
An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes.
Are the water valves opened completely?
If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.
Are the inlet hose filters clogged?
There are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly.
Are the inlet hoses attached properly?
If the inlet hoses are not attached to the machine correctly, it will prevent proper water flow to the washer. Turn off the hot and cold water supply then disconnect and reconnect the inlet hoses. Ensure that they are threaded properly. After the hoses have been reconnected, open the water taps completely, check for leaks, and unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.
NOTE: The inlet filters are inside the hose connections on the back of the washer. Because of their small size, take care when removing and cleaning the inlet filters so that they do not break.
When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to
check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch
assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As
the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water,
thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong
position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling.
Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float
switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the
hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the
water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve
is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check
continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then
you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is
fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...

Hi Error F20 means Water Inlet Problem-no water or insufficient water supply. This issue can appear due to faulty inlet valves or due to blocked inlet hoses. Also check the filter screen at inlet valve, clean them if they are dirty. Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug the washer or disconnect the power. Now check whether water faucets completely turned on?Make sure that the water inlet hoses are not frozen. If above things seems to be fine then you would need to replace the water inlet/fill valve. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.Daniel

Hi just read your posting. Is your complete model number GW 508? The fault with your machine is either your inlet hose filters or your water valve filters are blocked or one or both of your water valves are faulty.Turn off the water to your machine and remove the inlet hoses one by one.Check the amount of water coming out of the taps and check and clean the filters,if your inlet hoses have them, at each end of both hoses. Also where the inlet hoses connected to your machine check the filers on the water valves. If all the filters are clean and you still have the problem then the problem will be one or both of the water valves. Please reply on how you got on or for additional assistance.Hope this helps and looking forward to your reply.
Hi just read your posting.Could you please supply the model of your hoover and tell me if it is a front or top loader. The fault on your machine is due to a faulty cold water valve or dirty inlet filter.Turn the cold tap off and remove the cold water hose from the tap end and check to see if the little filter at the end of the hose is blocked. If it is, clean it and put back the hose to the tap and try a wash cycle. Please reply with additional information and to tell me how you got on with the filter.
Hi there.....check water pressure going to inlet water valve.......if this is ok.....isolate water....remove inlet fill hose and check if filter in inlet valve is blocked....also check if you got filter in inlet hose
no, it is not in the draining cycle. it is in the water inlet solenoid. check if there is power to the water inlet solenoid and check also if there is water going into the unit.
if there is power to the solenoid, then check the water inlet filter, it could be clogged also.
as you remove the hose to the water inlet valve, check the crisscross plastic at the center of the inlet valve, that is the inlet valve water filter. clean it if it is dirty or clogged.
if there is no power, check the wires that goes into it. make sure that it is connected properly to the valve
F21 stands for no water flowing to the unit. it has this water flow sensor. it senses if there is water flowing tio the unit. if there is no water after 5 minutes, the alarm will flash.
