Problems with lcd on water damaged w580I

I have a water damaged 580i. I replaced the lcd , everything else on phone seems to work. Any ideas on how to make the lcd work. The phone has been flashed with Wotanserver and debranded. The computer said everything was good, but lcd doesn't work. Help! Thanks.

It has a new LCD. I replaced it first. I have ordered a new flex cable because it appears that the LCD connector is damaged. Hopefully this will work. Thanks for your help.

you can try a cold reboot that where u have the fone turn on
and then you take out the battary while the
fone is turn on it fixed many erorr.

if not if need to be refashed as the software may have eroor in it.

unfortunately when this happens the lcd is a sealed unit therefore the lcd must be replaced because of the back light problem

Keys stopped working 580i down arrow and numbers stopped working

chances are if its the slide part the flex cable connecting the top half of the phone to the bottom part of the phone may be damage. This needs to be changed.
If the problem occurs with the number pad below the board where the buttons sits on is also damaged.of its only a few buttons try putting a very small crumpled piece of paper below the buttons.if is all the buttons the board is shorting .

580i dosen't start

More than likely you will need to replace the LCD screen. The backlight may have burned out making it blank or it the LCD connector may have come loose.

A new LCD screen runs about 15 dollars shipped from ebay

.

The W580i LCD is easy, easy to replace. Probably one of the easiest I have ever done.

More than likely you will need to replace the LCD screen. I have seen it happen to people carrying it in the pocket.

Lines on my display screen too.

More than likely you will need to replace the LCD screen. When it got wet, it probably damaged the LCD screen. Usually it justs blows them completely out.
