Need to find a way to replace or repair the plastic housing around the front of the tv which has been cracked.

don`t know what your asking.if your asking can a plastic radiator housing be repaired no it will need replacing.if your asking what could cause it,it could be just a weak area in the plastic,or excess coolant pressure.

1. drain coolant
2. remove engine cover
3. remove the 2 bolts from water hose connection (upper rad hose connecting to)
4. remove o-ring and thermostat
5. repeat in reverse order

Hi. You have experienced the problem that many hundreds of kitchenaid mixer owners have. No doubt your mixer began having problems while you were mixing bread or cookie dough. Kitchenaid advertises that these mixers can handle these types of dough, the brutal truth is they cannot, for one very important reason. The cheap plastic transmission housing has failed, and as a result has caused damage to your mixer's transmission.

This cheap plastic part supports two of the most important shafts and gears in your mixer and has no business being installed in a high priced mixer. Heavy doughs place enormous stresses on these gears and shafts and this plastic part is not up to the task, Kitchenaid knows this of course, but refuses to issue a recall notice.

If your mixer is still covered by warranty, call Kitchenaid's so-called customer satisfaction dept. and demand a mixer replacement with a METAL transmission housing.

If out of warranty, unplug the mixer and don't use it. Remove the silver band from around the head of the mixer, then remove the four screws that secure the cover, remove it. At the front top of the mixer locate the transmission cover, if it's made of a shiny metal, you're in luck. If it's made of plastic, examine it carefully for cracks around the mounting screws or anywhere else on the housing. If you find cracks, you have found the culprit that has caused untold internal damage to yoúr mixer

If you are up to the task of repairing it, go to the kitchenaid.com website and do a search for your model's parts catalog. Download it, it will help with the disassembly and reassembly of the mixer.

You'll need to remove virtually all of the old grease. Remove the trans. components and wipe them clean, in order to correctly assess damage. When you determine which parts need replacement, you must insist on a metal housing when ordering parts. Try mendingshed.com for parts. You can also order parts from Kitchenaid...Just be prepared to wait at least a month for them to arrive from Kitchenaid! "For the Way It's Made"?

Finally regrease with Chevron FM ALC EP-2 a Food Grade lube.

Be sure to tell the people at Kitchenaid what you think of their cheap plastic housing!

Hi. If you goto the Kitchenaid website you can do a search for the parts catalog for your model of mixer. Download the catalog. It will assist you in disassembling your mixer.

Remove the silver band around the top of the mixer. Remove the top cover and look at the top front of the machine and locate the transmission housing. If it's plastic, carefully inspect this housing for cracks. If you find cracks in this housing, IT is the source of your troubles. This cheap piece of plastic has no business being installed in a high-priced mixer. Your machine probably failed when you were mixing heavy bread dough or cookie dough. When this cover cracks, it can strip the worm gear shaft, its bearings and the bearing seats. It happened to me, and many thousands of other users I expect. Insist on a metal trans. housing for your replacement.

You may be able to have Kitchenaid pay for these parts even out of warranty, just don't tell them that you opened it up. Take it to an authorized repair place and let them assess the damage. Use their estimate to confront Kitchenaid. Be persistent in your complaint, keep asking for a manager to get involved in your case. They paid for my replacement parts even though I was 5 months out of warranty. The higher up you go in the management dept., the more likely you are to have them pay for your parts.

Once repaired, sell it ASAP!

yea when you start moving the front suspention around you probably put the core support in a bind and cracked the plastic housing on the radiator, these cheap plastic radiators now days are a joke, and as for the front differential problem explain in more detail

well, unless you are really really lucky and could find the same model at the local tip, you will need to ot\rder and replace the part through a repair center or parts center of sorts, quite costly

I'm afraid that you will have to replace the base unit, part #62577, would sell for around $25. Once it cracks, then it is weak and will affect the brush roll and belt.

if the tv turn on this will tell you that the plasma panel itself is ok. if it is ok then the fron glass is replacable. this is just a standard piece of glass so i really wouldnt spend tons of money hiring someone else to order one and install it.
